Graphics & Issues with them
« on: January 12, 2004, 08:01:46 am »
Ok, First I would like to provide this information:

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 1 (2600.xpsp1.020828-1920)
           Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: AMD750
       System Model: AWRDACPI
               BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
          Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) Processor,  MMX,  3DNow, ~1.0GHz
             Memory: 384MB RAM
Page File: 243MB used, 873MB available
        Windows Dir: C:\\WINDOWS
    DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0b (4.09.0000.0902)
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
     DxDiag Version: 5.03.0001.0902 32bit Unicode

Second, My problem:
I seem to have made it thru all the other possible issues most Newbies have suffered thru, but I do have this problem..I enter the game and get to see nothing more than the chat box and my char. options, as for the scene, all I see is a small triangular shaped piece of \"floor\" and a small triangular shaped piece of sky....both the left and right sides of the screen (also triangular shaped, all of which meet in the center) appear to be ever changing pixels of color. As for the other characters on screen the only time I catch a glimpse of them is when they happen to stray into the floor or sky areas, and then I only see the back of their head or their boots....

Any assistance anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated, I have spent a considerable amount of time scanning thru the postings here, and have come to the conclusion that we need to do something about the graphics....but I\'m not sure.
When darkness calls,
in the deepest night,
When a footstep falls,
and torches burn bright.
A quest is started,
a game to play,
no weak of hearted,
should dare to stay.
Only the strong,
of heart and mind.
will right the wrong,
and the treasure  find.

have you tried to move around a bit yet? Sometimes that was said to help.
Also try to type \"/spawn\" into the chat box after running the psupdate executable :)
The internet is "the terrorists'" most important weapon, they say.
Wrong.
Fear is their most important weapon.
Ours is our freedom.
