Ok.....sooooo, in a few days the first demo comes out? I dont know I just read the message and messed my imind a bit, I mean I read the first couple of line and couldnt contain myself so I ran to the downloads page....nothing. So I calmed down and read the rest.  :( This message doesnt have much sense, I just needed to write this down so as to know what I had done :P

They said its a matter of days until the release. I am thinking about a week or so.

The reason why developers don\'t get on the EXACT date they say is because there\'s ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS some kind of problem with the script. It\'s like whenever you do your home work and your printer messes up, you COULDN\'T DO IT but the teacher don\'t care. See?

just put your homework on a floppy disk.  :))

the funny thing is, the first draft of that news release came out very depressing... but Talad tweaked it with the advice of other developers to make it sound more up-beat.  Its good for team moral. :)

i hope they get some good serves hosting the game it would be shame if in the first 20 minutes of being out the server shutdown cause so many people are trying to download it

iam pretty sure i heard that the servers for the game would be hosted from home computers... so dont expect much, they probably wont be up 24 hours a day either...  and i doubt the first couple days alot of people will start downloading it unless they announce it on some big site or something...

Well i found it by typing in mmorpg in search.com
i also found it at geocities.com theres a bunch of cheapo
wannabe fan sites. So guys the word is out. I just hope I get a chance to download the demo/play it.

So, like, if the teachers feel free to screw ya over, and YOUR f-ing paying the bastards, why exactly do we need to be patient.  btw, I really have begun to hate teachers in since college.  They can\'t bloody well teach, give you bad grades, don\'t give a damn if you are bleeding well sick all semester, couldn\'t give a shit what happens to you, so long as they get paid.


Its a sad sad world where no one every can meet a deadline.   Its not just the planeshift guys, but I don\'t actually recall the last time a deadline was met in the gaming industry.  I wish I could get away with a week or month delay in taking a test.  That would rock.  


Btw, if any of the afforementioned text sounded a little british, its do to brain damage from proximity to Canada and prolongued childhood exposure to the BBC.  Damn you Doctor Who!  


Ack!  I\'ve been accused of having a Canadian accent too  :(   What the hell is wrong with me!?!?!?

Hahahaha, yes, well, that was a pressure release of some kind.

BTW I\'m accused of having an American accent  :D Hahahaha, I live in Spain and England has a bigger control here :P  haha.

The development team is working very hard to get Atomic Blue released.  I don\'t know if you can call it \"late\" though because we have never agreed to a deadline.  We have said \"we hope it is done by day x\" but that\'s it.

Also, there is just a lot of work to do to clean up things which are ok for developers to see, but not for fans and end-users, like ugly temporary screens, making sure the game runs correctly with different screen resolutions, creating the installation programs so it is easy for you guys to get it working (It took me 3 days my first time. :-)).

Aside from that, one of the things about \"free\" is that none of us are paid to do this, which means we are either in school or have jobs.  It also makes it hard for me to argue with my wife that I need to work on PS when she wants me to mulch the back yard.  It\'s just a fact that other things do take priority over this game sometimes.  Of course, most of us are totally addicted to working on it and never sleep because all we do is work on it.  :-)

Once we do this first release, other releases should be easier and more regular.  I think it will be fun for all of us to see how the game grows and develops over the next year or so.
