Hello all you lovely lookin peeps :)
« on: January 20, 2004, 04:58:08 pm »
Hello all, I just came across this wonderfully promising looking game, and frankly I\'m inspired...  this looks to have such great potential for depth in areas not yet seen, which hoefully will draw an even more diverse gaming community than the somewhat more common teenage male  crowds commonly associated with onling gaming.
truly inspiring

plus you have an art forum, which as soon as I figure out how to post images on I will surely contribute to, and hey if those mighty allmost celestial beings ( the Makers) like my art then hey I\'d be honoured to spend time doing doodles for you :) but I wont get ahead of myself you havent even seen them yet soI\'lk wait till after that before I enveegle my way in tee hee hee

at any rate I look forward to many a late night chatting, and playing what I\'m sure will be at the very least, an underground classic :)

Welcome to PlaneShift!

It\'s always nice to see new people make good introduction posts, distracts us from the loads of noobs we get to help every day :P

If you want to post images, first upload them to an online server(a lot of people use http://upl.mine.nu/) and use the [ IMG ]http://url.of.image/[ /IMG ] tags to post an image.

Have fun playing the game right now, and join us in looking forward to the next release, codenamed Crystal Blue, wich will have many more functions(like fighting, magic etc.) and will hopefully be released in about 2 months :)

Some tips to get you started:

1) Don\'t act noob; lean to use the \"Search\" button and you will be well rewarded :)
2) Keep up-to-date on these forums as they are a great source of info on PS and all of it\'s community
3) Try to figure out IRC and join in on the fansite chat, or if you have a question for the devs you can ask them on the public dev channel.  Check out Mogura\'s Top 40 (or is it 42? can\'t remember now...) FAQ for the info on IRC and much, much more.
4) Ignore anyone who has \"The Cabal\" in their signature ;)
5) Pay special attention to people with avatars, because they\'re \'special\' :D

And...Welcome to Planeshift!

Welcome and dont forget to spend some time in the Tavern where the beer is always fresh and the NPCs always have something to say (even if its \"I didnt thought you\'d get drunk this quick\")!

Greetings and good day.  I am still new to the game myself as well.  The community here is really supportive, you will love it.  Hope to see you in the game.
