How much RAM?
« on: January 22, 2004, 07:30:29 am »
I am running planescape on winxp with 128mb of ram. It lags like hell, I guess this is because I don\'t have enough ram, is this right?

Tell us your full system specs.

Prossecor, video card, etc.

It could very well be your ram though..

As far as I\'ve heard, 128MB is barely enough for winXP alone, even without planeshift... (same goes for OS/X, dunno about linux).

More is Better, although at this time no computer hardware is sufficient to make planeshift lag-free all the time (due to very large levels etc.)

well, that\'s not entirely true. I own an Athlon 1.8 XP, 512 RAM, Radeon 9600 Pro. I get framerates between 15 and 120 depending on the location. It does not always depend on YOUR hardware though, but the server sometimes messes up.
