New Bugs
« on: January 24, 2004, 04:53:54 pm »
I\'ve experienced some new bugs lately, and I\'ve decided to make this thread for them.

The first bug is the /buddy give command, I\'ve experienced it myself now. Yesterday I was trying to trade my mug for 165 rubies and 16 emeralds with Tepoc. He send me the rubies and emeralds, I got the message saying I received everything, the crystals dissapeared from his inventory, but I only got 1 emerald. Then i tried giving him my mug as he lost everything, but I got a message saying: \"you don\'t have that item in your inventory\". I tried \"/buddy give Tepoc mug 1\", \"/buddy give Tepoc jug 1\", I unequiped the mug a few times, we both logged on and off, but it still told me i didn\'t have that mug.

The other bug is even weirder, for some reason the skin of my character(MEnkidukai) changed to the default skin a while ago, I hadn\'t changed any of the PS files, and when i asked other people what my skin was they also told my it had changed.then when I restarted the game yesterday because of the problems with /buddy give, my skin suddenly was back to normal again..
Some screenshots:
- My character like he should be.
- My character like he was for a few weeks.

I hope these bugs will be fixed, or at least cleared up a little bit, but I know everone is working hard on CB and I don\'t wish to delay everything..

I also expierienced the first bug you mentioned, but when you use \"/buddy give \"  without a number, i never had an error. Someone (I can\'t remember who) said this to me, so i don\'t know or it\'s true or not.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that all of the items purchased need to be sent with the same name as their graphics file in the planeshift directory.  Eg. your mug = jug01a , so your command would be \"/buddy give Tepoc  jug01a\" (with or without the number since its one).

I think you can use different names for the item you wish to trade, as I traded Mugs before the bug appeared and I could just use /buddy give mug 1

addon to the second bug: I have actually seen this happen in-game. An MEnki standing around was one half tiger, the other half the brown/black skin, slightly shifting the skin back and forth. (Know what i mean? Tiger:brown = 50:50, then 60:40, then 50:50 again, then 40:60).

That\'s not exactly what happened to me, my skin didn\'t change while playing but when I logged into the game.
I can\'t remember the exact date when my skin changed to the default one but it must have been 2 or 3 weeks ago, during this time it just stayed like that only to change back to normal a few days ago..

it just happened again. Here, take a look at Rabartus ( it\'s hard to take a good screenie because the fluctuations are really fast!
I think it\'s even ALL the enkie skins mixing here...
