As the current leader of the Rangers Guild, I wish to forward our standing in the community. For that is the goal of all guilds, is it not?
What is the Rangers Guild?
Our guild is a band of rangers, roamers of the wilderness. The Guild members may specialize in any form of combat, and/or any tradeskill they wish to. Members may hold any alignment, although the guild itself is officially neutral.
What do you do?
Our guild is a guild of mild roleplayers. That is to say, we act \"IC\" within the bounds of the game most of the time. As there are no clear goals in the world of Planeshift, there are no clear goals in our guild. We seek to improve the lives of our members and offer them what we may. Resources will be pooled for those expensive \"group items\" and extravagant lodgings. Food, shelter, and items at discount will be some of the advantages.
The Rangers Guild was formed in the 9th month of the year 2003 under some rather unusual circumstances. Originally intended to be a revitalization and remake of the Legendary Warriors guild that was a large part of the early-middle age of Molecular Blue, a coup was staged to push the unpopular and arrogant Leader out of the guild. Enraged, the ynwwn in question, was removed because his presence would cause bad publicity, and because he had done virtually no work on the new guild. The three who had performed the overthrow and laid claim to the guild were Seperot, Grakrim, and Monketh. Any remaining members split into other guilds or came with them. Seperot was the primary leader at the time. At one point, Grakrim and Seperot decided that they would like to leave. I was left to care for the guild. I would like to thank Lynx for his support during that time.
The Guild will never provoke a war.
Rangers move quickly and silently, and attack without warning. A good Ranger knows how to use cover well (especially natural cover, such as trees and shrubs). All Rangers (No matter what section) should have some basic sneaking skills, along with some kind of wilderness survival skill.

About Alignment:
I\'d like to make it clear that my personal alignment is good-leaning-neutral.
I don\'t feed the beggars, I toss them a half-tria. (or quarter tria)
I don\'t defend people from threats bigger (or stronger) than myself.
I want to help, but not that much. It is not what I am there for.
Now, we accept all alignments, but this is the direction I wish to steer the guild in. We do have a place for those darker shades of grey, if you get what I mean.

There are of course nine ranks, they are as such:

Your character\'s name, Your characters race, Your Character alignment, Any alias names, If you are a current a member of another Planeshift Guild; (::If so what guild?, What is your current position?, Will you remain a member of your current guild if you are accepted to become a Ranger?:: ), If you have a history for this character, If you looked at any other Planeshift guilds (It is suggested that you look at several other guilds to get an accurate picture of where you want to go.), How long you have been playing Planeshift, and Please explain why you want to join the Rangers.
If you do not have a history for your character you should be aware that if you are accepted to the Rangers you would need to create one.
If you have a history for your character please post it on our forums with a note that you are applying for membership.
