Just wondering... how do I add a user image (avatar) under my name? I don\'t see the option anywhere.  Also looking for a sorcerer like avatar because that\'s generally what I am in mmorpg\'s... played Nexus, Lineage, D2, Dawn, Dragon Raja, Dark Ages of Camelot, as well as D&D.... I am an experienced gamer and I don\'t think anyone should be making a guild until the option to even make a guild is released.  Players will want to join based on abilities and features of the guild, so why don\'t you wait till you have the money.. it might be hard to get.  Just a thought.

You will be able to join guilds in this demo.

It is free if you can convince the guild leader to invite you. :-)

I agree, but I dont see anything bad in a Guild maybe asking money monthly to be able to buy things (guild house for example).

I\'ve seen this system in a few other games.  It\'s called guild points.  Instead of requiring members to pay you money, you set up a system that makes if beneficial for them.  The more you donate to the guild, the more points you get.  And the more the item is worth that you donated, the more points it is worth.  At the end of each week the player with the most points gets a prize from the guild bank.  Players who donate more also gain higher ranks within the guild, like you start as a Novice, but through donating you can become Adept, and Master, and so on.  This would be a good way to find council members as well.  By the way, I\'m looking for a good magic-based guild to join, mail me:
Orion7399@hotmail.com   if you have info.

If you use a system like that the rich guys will always be the masters or the ones in the High Council.
I wouldnt like that.
They should be elected

Yah, that would be bad if guilds followed that.  Then, what if there was a BBB guild, and Kada couldn\'t afford to be president of it....and was only a lowly barmaid in her own tavern.

Oh dear god, I think my brain is rotting out.  Ok, 1 month ago, I never would have posted compost like that.  Sigh, why fight it?
All right you primitive screwheads!  Listen up!

Suppose you elect everyone into council.  Will everyone be eligible for vote or will you have to pass trials first?  Personally I believe if you\'re going to elect people, it should be based on who role-plays the best.  Roleplaying doesn\'t involve money or power.  All you need is a creative mind.  Those who roleplay the best will be put into council, and to determine who roleplays the best, hold a guild vote.  I\'ve seen this system in a few games too.
I also have a few ideas on how to cap the amount of OFFICIAL guilds in the game.  The server will only be able to handle so many because guild options, halls, special abilities, and titles will take up quite a bit of room.  So obviously you can\'t just let anyone who wants to make a guild make one, unless of course the icons and codec are stored in the user\'s pref files... but anyways, I\'ll get to the point.  All the leaders should get together in a tribunal and interview the people who wish to start a guild.  They can ask questions about the guild like: What makes you different than the other guilds?  Do you have a story behind your guild? etc.
Then the leaders of the other guilds will vote and if they like what they see, then the GameMasters (if there will be any) can decide to implement the guild or not.   Take into consideration these are all just IDEAS people, I\'m not saying it has to happen.  Give some feedback, that\'s what I post for.

first off electing wouldn\'t be that great... people would just buy votes... also, who roleplays the best is kinda stupid to... they should just take the top people from each race or something, that way you get someone who is on like ALL the time so you dont get a bunch of inactives

and about the guild thingys, they should just make a minimum lvl to create, and make it cost a heck of alot of money, that way you wouldn\'t get a bunch of rejects making guilds who just joined the game or something.

Those who roleplayes the most is often those that are online the most, donation and such should never be promote someone to a better post but may give them a fancy title.
My guild will have a point system based upon how good you follow the rules and ingame and outgame donations, that mean that you don\'t need to surrender any real money but still get one of those titles.

if you start giving council positions to people who are on the most, and are not the best players then basically you will be getting people leaving there characters in game all day long. the only way your going to get the best people is to base it on lvls... its as simple as that

hmm.. de highest levels arent always the best. The often are sick and crazy people that dont have anything else to do then play the game 24 hours a day...
I think you should just vote for the council members..

well anyways.. and that guild creating thing.. Whats the problem with lots of small guilds? You will always have a few big guilds that will stay for ever.. and those small guilds just give some variation.. they often die out after a 2 months or so.. so what are you guys scared for?

I agree with that. Council members should be elected by voting. And if they plan to buy their votes let them do so. It also happends in the real world. They wont have enough money to buy them all.

Btw , this reminds me of how my Grandpa.
In his days people use to buy votes for the City counsil. They came to my grandpa and asked if he would vote for them if they give him some money. He wasent that rich so he took the money and sayed he would vote on them. Then the next one came to him and asked them same. He took the money and sayed he would vote on them.
My grandvather kept his word and when the elections came up he voted on all the people who gave him money. His votes didnt count because he voted an many people but he hade some money in his pocket , and kept his word.

If someone finds it fun to make a guild with his friend why not ?
They wont be able to afford a guild house but they will have their guild.

Actually, you can only add an avatar to your account if you are in the dev team.
