I remember an IRC discussion about that (or maybe it was about a test before you could create a forum account; hmmm....), and I still believe that teaching people how to locate information for themselves instead of begging people to be spoon-fed is a great idea.

and you\'re right, it\'s way better letting them find out stuff themselves instead of telling them the answers of hundreds of questions all the time.. too bad n00bs don\'t like this method

But that\'s beside the point. Yes, he have also been a newbie, but that doesn\'t automaticaly mean he was lazy and couldn\'t find the info he needed by himself.
