I'm having a lag problem

I already made a character, and I fixed the linkdead part, but now I have a major lag problem....  I don\'t know why because I have a cable modem, and it never lags for any game.  It does take about 1 or 2 minutes for the INITIALIZING WORLD part to load though, and I don\'t know why.  Also, how do you change your camera view?  I can\'t seem to play for more than 5 minutes because it lags so bad, and nobody inside the game will answer my questions.  If ya\'ll could just try to help me out, that would be great.

Now, I am getting an error when I click into the game, and the black screen comes up.  It says that NO CEL ENVIRONMENT VARIABLE SET!  I don\'t know what this means, but before it didn\'t say this, and it used to have all 5 parts loaded successfully...  Now it has an error on all 5 parts, and i can\'t even get into the game anymore!  Can someone please help me again?

press M to change cam view.. don\'t worry about the lag, it\'s there for most of us so you\'re not the only one

Xalthar, I was wondering if you lagged....  I have 900 free MB to use, and a 3.0 Ghz processor with an NVIDIA gamecard and Cable internet, and it still lags...  It also still says the things are failing on the black screen when you launch the game.  I would really like to play this game.  By the way, what CAN you do as of now with this version?

See your problem here is (if I have read correctly) is that you have used up alot of your hard drive space.  I have a few gigs of space and a shit ass VCard and it barely lags at all... Also your have drive may not has a very high speed (Yes, they can have speeds), that and Just because you have NVidia doesn\'t mean that you have top of the line.  NVidia is a corporation, they make 16-256 meg VCards... What spec is your VCard?  That and your cable may be more based on u/l and not d/l...  There are so many things that can attribute to lag... If you REALLY want a game not to lag, and you have a good video card... If you are truly enough interested in the game, and you don\'t have much hard drive space left... FORMAT!  Trust me, formatting is beyond worth it... I went from nearly 10-20 minutes for my computer taking to startup after I logged into my user, to almost 30 seconds for it to load up...  Trust me, everything attributes to this.

Im basicly having the same lag issues like Fladious. I have a Geforce2 32 mb videocard,1.3 gig proc.,512 sd ram, with over 25 gigs free on the puter but still having lag. My puter is only a year or so old too.

Lag is caused by unoptimised engine code and several memory leaks both client and server side. It is not due to your specs or your connection speed.

I\'ll keep repeating that untill everyone gets it.

so how do you optimize it then? I also found out that during the game when I was basicly blaming it on lag, that it wasnt so much the lag but playing the game would max out my cpu load...it would be 100%. This is the only game that it does that too. Any suggestions?
