I\'ve had errors like this before, but only when another program currently had use of my soundcard (this was back on my old comp- crappy soundcard also). If all the channels your card can support are already being used, PS will throw a fit that there\'s none available for it to use. So, my advice here would be, load PS first if you want to be playing music in the background or anything.

That way, PS gets the priority and other programs usually won\'t complain.
If you\'re not running any other programs when you try loading PS, it may be that you need to perhaps update your drivers.
Alternatively, you can go into the cfg files and disable sound in PS altogether. If you open psclient.cfg and put a ; infront of any line that mentions something to do with sounds, that should do it (I hope- not tested).
