Your funniest rpg experiences
« on: February 19, 2004, 04:14:16 pm »
Tell your best rpg experiences here
It can be any rpg and it doesnt have to be your experienc (read ... The funniest rpg experience you have heard of)

Here is one short one but its not the funniest I know ... I am just lazy.

Well ... My sister or her friend (Not very sure who of them) was playing Vampire. Well her character is having hard time and she has to jump from a roof or be killed.
She falls and lands pretty badly. Somebody calls an ambulance and she starts running like hell (shes in pretty bad condition). After some time of running she crosses red lights and surpise surprise the ambulance that was coming to rescue her runs over her and she dies ... pretty bad one ;)

I suck at telling this story so it may not be so fun that it would normally be -_-

- PS:T dialogues, especially Morte\'s
- The BG2:ToB adventurers that bring you bronze pantaloons...(long story)

I come second at storytelling -_-

Well, my story involves a DM getting pretty mad at a player for heading off to a dungeon he wasn\'t supposed to head to :P So the \"rogue\" player ended up getting killed by another player, who in turn was punished by the DM for trying to steal the map on the dead character which he was supposed to take back to his party... His punishment was loosing 3 hours of gametime because he decided to cut the dead body into a million tiny pieces (the 3 hours being a die roll by the DM, and also the in-game time it took for the player to molest the body :P)

Hmm, funny... Don\'t really have any... :( Unless u wanna hear a tale of a n00b........

Well, I was once playing with my friends and some annoying n00b started to follow us everywhere. He kept saying stuff like: \'h0wz u s0 g00d? St0p Ch34ting!! W3r3 1 g3t 4rm0uz l1k3 u??\'
He didn\'t seem to realise that we\'d been playing for ages :D I was gonna kick him (I was a GM) but we decided on summin else. :D We told him to follow us. So we went to a city where u have to be a high lvl to survive if u step outdoors, (We protected him while we were going there), and then led him to a cave of a nice friendly Dragon :D And told him that the \'4rm0uz\' was inside. So you can guess the result after he entered:

Dragon: 1
N00blet: -100000

And the best thing is: every time he spawns he is in that city where u have to be good to travel outside. :D
So he was completely screwed. :D

It would have probably been better for him if I\'d abused my GM powers and kicked his ass for a day. :D

The End

Kada ... shouldnt campbot have \"shoot city guards\" option or \"lure city guards out and bring many impossible monster with you to the city core\" option ... then few new replics like \"help\" -> \"n00b\", \"Gimme money + follow\" and \"Idiot\" -> \"me?\" -> \"you\" -> \"you?\" -> and so on

In a game of tabletop rpg, a friend of mine supreme cleaved through a one of the other players to kill the last injured monster that was running away... lol :)

2nd best moment would probobly be in Fallout 2 and blowing up the outhouse... heh.

ok heres mine

my first day as a GM on a UO free server and i\'d been on for 21.5 hours straight on my own.

During that time i had decided i needed a steed, not just any steed mind you.. 1 that would rock + make ppl sit up and take notice..

so i summon the hardest monster in the game (a chromatic dragon - lvl 10) and do a little \'tweaking\' .. after a while i stand back and look upon my eerie green coloured uber-horse

so.. on my uber-horse i trundle off to the mine under Mt. Kendall (the first place any noob goes... the 1st thing they ask is \'how do i make money\'.. thats where most ppl sent em)

upon entering the mine i find it packed with noobs (at least 30 and its not a big mine)... now for some reason i cant quite remember i needed to messs with a logged out player... so i switch allshow on (this shows up all logged out players + many other things like the npc counterpart of any mounted creature)...

result... i lag heavily then crash

so.. i make my \'GM DEDjed rescue service\' character and tele to the mine dressed in my crappy short pants and shirt.... as i arrive i find myself face to face with admin Ana... surrounded by ghosts.... shes not happy

turns out my uber-horse had slipped out from under me when i lagged and, free of its master had reverted to its old NPC brain.... that being a chromatic dragon... and had rapidly begun devouring every living thing in sight

ooops

oh yeah + i also accidently nuked the GM office and all the important items in it.... on the same day too

Well I would have to say that it was on G.O! Back in early 2000 when the guild Ventrue Vampires were at war with some rising clan I want to say the Azures but it doesnt sound right oh well anyways. I was apart of the V.V\'s army second generation and we were located in the moon tower and i remeber that was the day that our leader who wasnt on the net for months because of family problems was finally to come back so we all lined up a good 30 of us and waited to \"rethrown\" him! Well apparently we had some spys in the guild who informed this other guild that he would be going to the moon tower so they rallied most of there guys which was a total of like 20 something and they picked up bushes and hid under them (If you ever played graalonline you would know what I am talking about :D). So whatever we are all waiting inside for him, key word INSIDE we never bothered keeping guards outside. Well the leader never showed up so whatever we thought maybe he couldn\'t get on. Nope that wasn\'t it because the next day on Graalonline Screenshot of the Day was a picture of the leader laying dead on the ground with all these guys cheering and swearing at him.

LMAO!!!

And YES! I\'ve only come here to mock you... mock you all! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!1!!12!ELEVEN :D
*cough*

My funny RPG experiance was in a roguelike game called Dungeon Crawl (//shameless plug :D )

I was a troll berzerker and had run into a early and powerful unique. Now, it wouldn\'t have been so bad but it was because the RNG (Random Number God) generated a level with atleast a 80% open area - so fighting him alone in a corridor wasn\'t a option. Lots of my past characters had died at his enchanted scythe of reaching, as well (reaching branded weapons have extra range) there were several orcs and goblins. Trolls regenerate 1 HP every other turn - faster if they have rings of regeneration. This 1 HP per every-other turn wouldn\'t save me if i fought him with other enemies nearby so i started searching for a wand of anything to fry/ice/drain/anything his humanoid a$$.

So, eventually i find a wand of cold, and after reading some teleport scrolls to evade getting surrounded and end up in a corridor - out of teleport scrolls. Then the unique shows up. He tries to attack me through the other enemies to the left and right (i was in a horizontal corridor, good thing there was one in the map) and he kills them in the process!  8) Winnar. Eventually i zap him with a wand, and get lucky with a berzerked hit. I then find a way down to the next level and die at the hands of Edmund - another humanoid unique. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

Then in another one i was playing a hill orc and was chased by a centuar, Big Snake, a Ogre, and afew ats. I lasted 15 moves while slowed. 8) Apperently the couldn\'t touch me with my +4 Ring of evasion and dwarven chainmail/scalemail :P
Precious and beutiful, it is happy. The only time when it is not is when it is in a shape of a tear.
