finally finished a new work...
in the last days I made my way through the hp and parts of the forum (who the hell is writting those tons of posts? i will never be able to read evan the half of them...^^?)
I love the idea with the eight grades and the stalactite - very unique.
Due to the fact that merchants have to transport goods from one level to an other, I tought it would be nice to have mounts to transport them. I know, there are flying animals, but they are quite expensiv, there could also be some less expensiv one. My first tough was that the animal would have to climbe very well so it would be able to came save from one level to the next without crossing too many caves. I first had the idea to draw something lizzard like wich would be able to climbe walls, but than i noticed that it would be impossible to programm... So I decided to do something mountain goat/chamoise like wich could simply jump very well, and very save over narrow gullys and so on.
And here it is, my chamoise-horse, the Marekii:

more color and more different poses...
and a new drawing style i\'m working on, not as good as my old one in the moment but he will become better:)
The Marekii Difficulty level: easy
Physical Attack: hoofs
Magical Attack: none
Nutrition: herbivorous
Intelligance: low to medium
Hitpoints: medium
defence: low
agility:very high
tame difficulty: low to medium
herdsize: 5 to 8 individuals
loot: fure
Descibtion: In ancient times the marekii was brought to Yliakum by demorian nomads who used them as mounts on their travells. Although the marekki were foreign to Yliakum they fast established themself as useful mounts and today there are many marekii herds to be found in the countryside.
Untamed Marekiis are shy, and their four eyes help them to discover humens who try to come near them. Marekiis aren\'t very agressiv, they normaly flee if they are attacked. When forced to fight they conter staying on their back hand hitting the enemie with their sharp hoofs. For someone who want to tame a marekki not only the taming skill is required also there is a need to be good in sneaking to come near enough. Taming itself is not so hard to do.
Marekki are nativ to mountain areas and stepps. They have the intelligance of an average itelligant dog, and are very loyale to their owner. An aldut Marekii is able to jump 3 meters (118,2 inch) high and up to 7 meters(275,8 inch) in lengh, if it is skilled, well trained, and only carry light weight (like a small person).
Marekiis are never used in battle, their defens is much to low to be a help for its owner. The only advantage of a marekki is his high agility wich make it hard for their enemy to hit them, and its ability to jump. Marekiis are mainly used by merchants who carry less goods and aren\'t able to pay a guard for their goods.
I always liked pets in rps, altough I don\'t like it to see them used in battle too much. Many people think of them like a third sword, wich is able to be replaced after fight...
I tried to make the job of an tamer a bit more interesting, using the sneaking skill. That shouldn\'t be required for every animal but I think it is a nice addition also for hunters if the animal runs away. I don\'t think a rabbit should strike back if missed it with my first hit... if it would run away it could still be killed with a bow.
what do you think?
well, guess that was all...
