Ah, another of the same thread that everyone seems to post over, and over, and over, and over again... Why nobody reads before they post is quite beyond me, really.

256mb RAM is a very unlikely amount to run PlaneShift on. Upgrade your computer to at least 512mb because WinXP alone uses 200mb of it. PS also uses approx. 200mb. So, in answer to your question, yes it is mainly due to your specs.

Bare in mind, however, that this is a pre-alpha technical demonstration. The code is unstable and unoptimised. If you\'re sick of it, leave. :)

Any questions you have about the game have been frequently asked by many before you. These are compiled into one neat package and answered in the following post:

You should have read the newbie forums before posting here :)

frankly no offence tangarine but i dont really expect you guys to be done with a new version thier year in all seriousness. The stuff you guys are trying to put into the game is on such a grand scale, plus to say as the dev team has gotten larger, the pursuit of perfection has not left the dev team yet, and you will probally want to tune cb to perfection which would take at least another year IMO. I dont really have any problem with this though, more power to ya. i want the whole game to be perfect, and who know how long that will take. like i said more power to ya, all i have to do is pass the time untill CB, and although im in a bit of a rough spot for that, im sure i can think of something :P

As we all know, CB isn\'t going to be the final release. So I don\'t think it\'s going to be perfect, just way better than MB.

Your CB expectations are apparently very distant from reality, whemy. Although there is going to be lots of new features and art, many of them are just the first versions of the \"final\" vision. For example combat is simplified. Actually we are really finalizing things right now - fixing bugs, finishing some features.

Although Fragnetics isn\'t directly involved in the development of PS, I believe that you can safely assume that good things are going to happen soon since they\'ve at least asked us for our logo  :D
