Well, I finally went the compiz-fusion route and have had a good deal of good luck with  it this time around.  Its quite stable and doesn't bog down my 8800 much so its actually quite usable even for 3d development.





I don't know about the background matching very well so that might change but overall I'm really digging stuff.  Don't mind the noobish C#
