What about Guildwars?

I was asking myself one thing. Many guilds already have their enemies in MB. But what if CB comes out?

How does a guildwar take place? like, on a battle field or are there certain rules?

I think the best way to have a guildwar is on a open field and there must be some rules to hold on to, like don\'t attack eachother unless the signal has been given.

I was just asking myself, maybe you guys know something about it or ideas.

yea, guildwars will turn whole Yliakum into bloody battlefield...
as in free slaughter on enemies... at least that\'s what Venge told me...
If you want to know more, for winning a guildwar, you get 10% karma of the defeated guild... that\'s what you can read somewhere, but I don\'t really know any plans about it.

Hmm yes 10 % of the karma, thats great. But I also think a guildwar must be announced a couple of days before the battle begins, so everybody can prepare themselves for battle. And what if one guild wins the battle? What will happen with the other guild?

On more thing. What about a sparring area in town?
Were people can fight eachother without dying.
I think they should add that too in PS.

I don\'t think it\'ll be real battle... rather switching free pvp on between guilds having war.

yeah but what if theres really going to be a massacre?
Like with archers, defenders, horseriders, swordsmen?

If a massacre of the scale you presume occurs then it is sure to be a laggy event. Unless the devs say otherwise that is. In short : The war for Minas Tirith it won\'t be. More like a gang brawl.

bah, maybe I should say an example:
let\'s say you run around bashing some oh-so-evil-monsters, when suddenly you notice someone from enemy guild. Now you can attack him just-like-that because there\'s free pvp between enemy guilds...

If that is how the system is then it will be possible to orchestrate large battles.  It will also allow guilds to use guerilla warfare and ambushes and the like.

Yes, this is a nice system for guild wars. This also don\'t remove all chances to thiefs guild because an open war will be a bane for them

mm Open war is definately going to be my guilds option once it gets a standard number! Then again once I finish my guild archives you will find out that we choose to fight a different way
