Lag Fix :)
« on: March 20, 2004, 03:05:22 am »
Yes, I know it dusnt seem possible (  for me at least)
But I fixed my lag.I started playing PS MB bout 9 months ago, and ever since I have had the  most awfulest lag ever( unless I played on my friend\'s computer).
But, checking every forum carefully I found something that worked without buying anything.
I feel one of the luckiest to not have any lag.
Waait, if I told you being lagless wouuldn\'t be as precious as gold anymore. :o
But, for the programmers you literally slave over the forums, ill give you advice( even a noobie can give a noobie info)

( For those who have high RAM but still have lag, you\'re
lookin\' at the wrong thread.)

I tried a way to upgrade my RAM, and I went to some sight, and got some RAM Booster. It might not work for some of you. but keep in mind it worked for me.
It is not MY program, so don\'t ask me for technical help.
here is the URL: http://www.sci.fi/~borg/rambooster/index.htm
Remember, i\'m not GARANTEEING it\'s gunna work, but if it dusn\'t, try RAMCleaner :)
search it in http://www.google.com
Good luck!

all that program does is free your RAM from any useless stuff that\'s been put in it while your computer was ON. so I think it\'ll only work if you never reboot, since this basicly does the same.

How do you get so sidetracked from upgrading your RAM to installing, and I say this with little doubt, spyware?
I don\'t understand, myself...

If you\'re foolish enough to install it, besure to protect yourself first, Windows users.

Protect myself? I don\'t know what you mean.Explain--->

I do have a spyware protector
Virus detector
and if it was harmful, my computer would tell me.

Why install it, just reboot your computer once in a while. I turn my computer off when I go to bed at night and rarely leave it on because I am downloading something. I never had performance problems because of ram shortage (but that can be because I have 1gig ram :D).

HOLY CRAP MAN!
how the @#$% did YOU GET THAT MUCH RAM!

but anyway, it does matter much in RAM if you have lag(sometimes) becuase it slows down software

1GB of RAM is the normal amount these days. 512mb is ample to run PS. 256mb or less will struggle for most people, especially on WinXP.

Hey, that\'s the big advantage of a DIY system (Do It Yourself). Just add some RAM and a new CPU when it gets too slow. :)
