Competition against Planeshift

Right now there are three big free 3D MMORPGs now. Two are active.

- Planeshift (We all know about Planeshift)


- Myrmidia, they made it a FPSMMORPG.

Myrmidia does also have an Alpha but they only got like one or two devs, so its taking them longer.

- Koyrith: (Koyrith project ended because they claimed their Devs didn\'t want to do anything.)

Just thought it\'d be interesting to inform you guys. I wonder how the competition will be in the near future.

what are you talking about? there are WAAAY more out there. Pristontale, fairy land, runescape 2, conquer. those are all big games, so to say that those 2 are our only competition would be ludacris (after that rapper got famous i cant spell the word right :P) But really we shouldnt care if we have competition. this game will be the same if there are 200 players or 2,000,000. And i think the game will be great. So if there are only 200 and everyone else thinks its lame, oh well they are missing out. If there are 2,000,000 and everyone loves it, that cool too because then there will be more people to chat, interact with, and hopefully PK XD.

Technically the only \"competition\" would be an open-source, cross-platform, 100% free game.  Which those others... aren\'t.

The sequal looks rather impressive, there 3rd generation graphics have upgraded to 2nd generation!

yeah right... they look AWFUL... why would you make a sequel adding nothing but graphics, but having the graphics STILL look like crap? are they retarded? it doesnt make... any... sense! ARGH!!@!!!11~~! *beats head on table*

It really isn\'t a sequel its just a major upgrade to the graphics and some large add-ins. All the characters and such from the old game engine will just be transfered to the new one. Its not horrible its A MAJOR improvement from their original concept!

what about http://www.onrpg.com? they have great selection of mmorpg titles, especially the free ones, that no other site has. they have them sorted into free, open beta, closed beta, paid, etc. very neat and organized, its too bad they arent as big, mainstream, or updated as often as sites like mmorpg.com...
