It was recorded on a 2GHz machine running RedHat 9 with 768MB of RAM and an ATI 9700 pro graphics card.

In this context, I think he meant CS as in Counterstrike; so no, it won\'t work.

If you need to install the Div X codec I suggest when prompted to only install the codec and the not the player becasue as far as I know the player is adware.

You can then run the movie on Windows Media Player.

Absolutely fantastic work. Good to see that a few months without updates hasn\'t been in vain. =P I anxiously await further movies and releases, and keep up the good work devs!

From what I understand, shadows are very tricky to do, and increase the processing power to play tremendously. Yes, even simple ones. For those reasons, I doubt shadows will even be considered untill well after CB, but that\'s just an assumption. I could be wrong.

Yeah, I guess shadows will impact rendering a lot, but ... I fo one would rather at least have blobs under the characters and scale down on resolution, sampling or texture detail than not have shadows at all, since it really helps the overall immersiveness - the characters just seem to be more \"there\".

With blobs I mean just that, a round darkening of the floor beneath the model, roughly the models diameter, the way some shooters had them, like Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy for example. That should not cost too much processing power.

Additional comment on the movie: nice. Really! It really shows progress is being made, and that is something that had been sadly missing around here...  I did not like the interface, though, it looked to cluttered (the buttons at the top). I guess it will be possible to skin it, and I have already resolved to do a skin.

My question would be: can you scale it as a whole (so it takes only 50% width of the screen if you have a high resolution), manually I mean (it doesn\'t just stay the same width in pixels, but scales to 100% of the screen width, unless I specify differently)?

Thats the second time you have called him acrid in this thread... its acraig, a-c-r-a-i-g. acrid means causing heat and irritation; corrosive; as, acrid secretions. Who knows maybe you are trying to insult him.

Anyway great movie, but the game still looks like it could use some work. What i personally want to see is real grass, real clouds (i mean it rains so much, but most of the time all i can see are the sides of the cavern) and finaly water effects. If you can make a game as graphically impressive as dark and light looks, then i will be impressed :) :P

Q: How many Planeshifters does it take to expalin a simple concept to a newb?
A: Six. Five to argue on who\'s explanation is right, and Moogie to lock the thread.

Great and funny movie really, exactly what this community needed I think. Though I don\'t know if the music fit in so good, something merrier maybe (even if the dwarf was committing a suicide)... Nevertheless, great work!
