Can they actually post a picture of the game without getting the dev\'s permission first?

Besides that, they didn\'t even have the common courtesy to drop by and say \"Hey, we\'re thinking of including an article about this game in our newspaper.\" or \"Hey, we\'ve written an article about your game in our upcoming issue, be sure to check it out.\"  I mean the latter effort would probably be enough for them to sell an additional 20 copies to people who just want to read that one article :)

I guess that\'s what you get for being lazy...

Yes well... you can always make your own forums about planeshift if these aren\'t to your liking...

I wonder when Kada\'s forums will be up again?

1.Good Lord.  8o  They make a typo, then accuse the devs of stealing planetside\'s name when this project is much older than planet side.
The stupidity...        it\'s just...           amazing...

LOL to be honest when I first stumbled upon this gem of a game I read the name as PlanetShift, then realised I should omit the 1st \'t\' from the name.

Theres really no comparison between PlaneShift and PlanetSide so the fact they think the name was pilfered is just bizare. Its not even the same genre. The only thing they have in common is the MMO aspect.

*EDIT* Kada-El could you provide me with the website or email of the person that wrote that article?

Here\'s the full translation.

Planetside - PlanetShift; PC gamer -PC Gameplay. You will propably never find out what we meant with the previous sentence. At least not in full daylight not in mince matters.
What is Planeshift then? Nonetheless than a coming MMORPG - phew, at least it\'s not a MMOFPS.
It\'s also free. You don\'t pay neither a one-time sum, nor a monthly counterpart.
The graphics are quite ok against that background, but doesn\'t compete with the top. Mainly the textures feels a bit too low-resoluted. The question is how long the game will hold without a money-flow. Up to proof.

Yeah, I saw it too. Words cannot describe what I feel, but I\'m pretty disappointed at PC-gamer to say the least.
Oh well, I guess the word \"free\" havn\'t got much respect with it. Almost as little respect as reviewers who cannot even spell the name of the game they are reviewing.

Hmph...

Perhaps some letters to the editors of those magazines regarding the name, the facts and the permission to publish shots would be nice--in their native languages.

Just a thought...

Yeah thats why I asked Kada-El for the website and or email address, but he hasnt responded yet. Mind you if people are going to send abusive, idiotic emails to the writer then perhaps the email or website shouldnt be disclosed. Poor representations of the PlaneShift community will do the games development and perception no justice.

lolI have a good idea to solve the problem. PS sues,  pcgamer because of the published screenshots this way money won\'t be a problem lol
j/k...

Now, what they did is not only wrong, stupid and illegal but it is also lame! If they had done some research they would know how long Planeshift has existed, with the name and the idea.
Pretty lame... I believe they needed to fill out some pages and did that with other games also, they write something pretty stupid without researching or contacting the developers.

Fame is good for games, but planeshift doesn\'t need this bad publicity. PS will be a great game, because it has a great community and has people that enjoy RPG programing/designing/working on it.
Hope this problem get solved and they publish the right information, specially because they messed with legal matters.
