Its that same as all public art, sooner or later it gets destoryed or grafittied (sp?). Its like those artists who draw masterpieces on paving slabs, sooner or later the rain will wash it away, the public will walk over it and it will erode into nothing. All beauty is fleeting, nothing can be preserved forever. Most galleries would like to think art is forever, that it should be categorised and preserved, but personally i think art should be impermenant.

The artist did not set them down. He created a work of art for the public to enjoy.

If somebody took a statue from the public square of your town one night would you not call it stealing? Of course you would.

Did somebody make a statue out of money in your town?

Don\'t make it a public announcement as to how you did it this time. ;)

Okay, how\'s this for a scenario? A guy is sitting around, thinking, \"I sure could use some more gems. What\'s a good way to get more gems?\" Then, it dawns on him: \"I can pass myself off as an artist, asking people to donate gems toward my artwork. Then, after the art has been up a while, I can create a new character, log on, \"steal\" the gems, and keep them. Everybody will suspect somebody else stole the gems, because why would I, such a good and noble artist, steal my own artwork? Then, of course, I will have to ask for more gem donations, so that I can start a new art project...\"

That concept is ridiculous if you know the person.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

As imaginative as that is, it\'s not exactly the most constructive thing to say on a thread that is constantly on the verge of an all-out argument. :P People are trying to leave this topic alone... there\'s no need to start it up again unless there\'s something constructive to add.

Well, I was online and was an eyewitness to the \"theft\" of the unattended crystal ring around the statue\'s head. If you find the player of an Enkidukai character named Ratfink, you\'ll find the thief.

If anybody can find out how to make bezier curves, tell me! People donated money to me so I could make art, not to give it to me to keep.

Thats not how you make a bezier with the crystal space engine. That teaches you about the bezier curve in real life :p

I don\'t think you\'re going to be able to draw curved geometry from the worldfile.  Instead you should just make an arched stairway.  I dunno if you could get the points based on positions derived from a bezier curve, but getting them from angles on a circle with x radius would probably work fine too.
Ninjas have feelings too.  Mostly they feel like dancing.
