There could, perhaps, be a police force or just a couple of (strong) \"bouncers\" that kick out the disruptive folks. A hired hand would have to be paid, of course, but there could always be some volunteers from the audience. But it might be more effective to hire trustworthy strongarms. Or simply use magic to create a ward.  :P

Another feature of the mods.  Macros could be made for lines easily, and they\'d be perfect every time.

As probably has been said, the temple\'s a little high-traffic for a theater...

I\'d like to refresh this idea.  Planeshift theater company anyone?

It is a worthy idea, but edge here didn\'t stay long enough to get it going.

I see a grand play being performed in that cool arena I saw in today\'s post.  The arena should be reserved occasionally for non PvP activities - like plays!

A Kran and a dwarf performing slap stick would certainly be intertaining.  GMs could keep people from disrupting the show.

I also think a parade should be planed for the first weekend of the release that starts outside of town and ends in the arena.  Should this idea have it\'s own post?

Nice idea, I\'d like to try being an actor.

There are many things that should be solved though. The typing, billing, place, etc.

Well, actually you don\'t need a special structure to hold your theater. You can have actors play everywhere, like outside the city, then you would go around and collect money from those watching.

 I LOVE THE THEATER IDEA.

Then you can build your own website and have dates and times of your shows. You can also recrute actors from there.

- I can try to sneak in without paying ..
- I can steal money from everybody that is watching
- I can kill some actors..

enough things to do for me..

ow... I can also look to the show  :D

Oh, that\'s a really nice idea!

I\'m sure this could be pretty nice to have some different performers group and the arena could be a nice place for this.

Could be nice too to have some kind of exterior chat box then, so it would be possible to copy and paste dialogs easily, perhaps an actor tool (special class?)

Keep thinking about it ;)

  It could work, actually.

First of all, you would become a public figure, that would influence (in good or in bad) your social status.
As a class or job, actors could have a bonus in casting certain illusion type spells or even in \"inspiring\" party members before battle.
Also, your acting skills could be employed in advertising (guilds, religious factions, etc) or in various quests that imply deceit, impersonations, etc.
Maybe the planeshift actors would gain with experience the ability to morph his own look, to perfectly imitate voices and accents and so on , making them great for spying and thieving.

How about that for role-playing? A charming rogue singing and reciting for the ladies, a chameleonic thief able to make you believe he is your own side-kick then rob you blind...

(Oh...and...I am an actor in real life... :) )

Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. \"  Robert Frost
