after about 20 min of modeling i made this but i still have the uv mapping to do and later on the texture :)

Simple, but thats good if you want it in-game :D  Once its done and has some awesome textures on it, submit it to LLW, maybe it will be used in-game 8)

did some work on the blade yesterday it probobly still need more work.
 im not to certain on what to do with the handle tough :(

I think you should have like rune letters imprinted along the handle.

thanks for the idea but i think i like the runes to go on the blade instead as for the hilt.
i will do some patterns there after i get back from school.

I like the runes, and the sword in general, kinda makes the grip seem a little \"left out\" still very nice though... shiny :)

Actually runes were created by ancient germanic people during the 3rd-13th century. It was sometimes beleived to have magic powers. It was, however, later introduced to the vikings betwenn the 8th and the 11th century. The ancient germans had attached runes to their weapons of combats a couple centurys before that. So next time you thing of a sword with runes think...Germany.

I also think a leather handle would look impressive. Maybe you could also add something to the circle on the bottom of the handle to. Like a precious stone set into it.
