There are two more skins for the board

I have copies of [Windows] 3.1, 3.11, 95, and 98, too. Not to mention various versions of MS-DOS

Where did you get that link?
The board links usually have a \"styleid=x\" request parameter, that should not be filled with a fixed value (i.e. is beeing different depending on the user\'s settings).
Haven\'t had that problem yet. Could it be you changed your board skin recently and the page that link was on was loaded from your browser/proxy cache?

Wrong.

Maybe someone prefers to use the non-default skin, and posted a link while using this skin.

Ok, I think I know what this is about.
The skin that is generally used is kinda \'no skin\'. It can\'t be chosen in the options, as it\'s not even the default skin.
The board was designed in a way that notifications sent by email use the default skin (not the \'no skin\'). Since the skin that should be shown when you view a page is stored in the url, and the notification link expects the default skin to be used, that\'s what you see when you click it.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It doesn\'t always direct you to the page you expect.
Sometimes it takes it a long time to update the last poster in the list too.

It will always list the first fresh post.
If someone edits a post before another person makes a fresh post. (Eg: An edit bumps up a thread)

If you noticed, there was a diff. style ID number on that link.  Thus the diff. style.
