I still think IC execution is a good idea - this way you can have open PK, and still have PLENTY of incentive not to under most circumstances. This will make the world more immersive I think, and anyone who goes around killing people for fun  / to rob them deserves to whatever work they put into the pk character. If you REALLY object you could just make it when \'executed\' their level (if the game ends up having levels), stats, skills etc are halved, and their items chucked out over the crowd viewing the execution (which will probably consist of a number of people the pker has killed, delivering a form of justice).

eh, it\'s just an idea, and it\'s not going to be implemented here. because PK already has it\'s boundaries in PS, according to the devs. that\'s their decision and really all that there is to it. now if I ever get around to learning code, and get into the gaming industry, I\'m going to try to implement the idea into an MMO. and if and when I do, it\'s not going to matter to me how many people tell me it\'s stupid, just like it don\'t matter to these programmers how many people tell them how to implement pk into their game. you have to respect their decisions.

Johnny Depp\'s a poser to the throne. No one will ever play the part as well as Gene Wilder

If we going to put hanging in the game it would be pretty harsh. I mean, hey, there are youngsters that play PS. And they will be wuite disturbed if their characters got hung

We should implement hangings for greifers and rule breakers.  Once hanged, they wouldn\'t be able to log on for an extended sum of time depending on the degree of their crimes.

draklar said \"hmm... the hanging idea... I wonder how many people would accuse dev team of causing someone to commit suicide by hanging himself \"

I just found out I cannot delete my unwanted characters.  In the old text-based days we always had a \"suicide\" command.  Let people start over without cluttering up server storage space.

I swear if I see right to lifers gathered in the Hydlaa plaza with placards, draping passerbys in floral wreaths, linking arms and singing kum by ya.. there will be a bloodbath.

Personally I like the gibbet option. Hanging in the sun, swinging in the breeze and eaten by the crows over weeks. The stocks when combined with the Cat\'o Nine Tails makes for a good public spectacle too, a few  floggings are usually deterrence for all but the most hardened crimainals.

Maybe people can be permanently disfigured as a result of their crimes - steal, and you lose a hand. Permanently! Never being able to use a 2-handed weapon, bow, sword+shield, etc ever again. Or for those really sadistic folks perhaps branding the crimes that the person has committed into their flesh in a visible body location with hot iron.

I think seeing a maimed and very sorry looking ylian or enki limping around the city minus a paw/hand and with raised welts visible on their back would send a strong message.

the idea is good but they have to have done something extremely bad such as multiple item scamming or mass cursing or inproper topics talk that make the game unpleasant for other players(of course there is just a mute command)

8millions (or maybe 10 who is able to say that...) of years of evolution and we are here: people want to add the mayhem and the Death penalty in a game. What\'s coming next ? you will have to find someone who must be despised by everybody... Yahou you really behave like animals.

I\'m totally against Torquemada!

Not a bad way to ban people...
