That is, and will always be a matter of oppinion.. I find, contradictory to you, that games on the PC are far superior, both gameplay wise and interface wise than any similar console game.. Sure I\'ll admit that there are good games for the consoles I even own some of them, but still I find that most games, and gaming in general is much enjoyable on a PC than on a console..
But as I stated, it\'s all just a matter of oppinion, I could be arguing with PS2 fanatics till judgement day and still not get any satisfaction on their account :P

PC > Console

Besides one thing... Megadrive.
I remmember when I was young I had this Megadrive, I loved it. I loved my PC too, but back then the Megadrive had better games and everything...
Alas, it\'s not working for a loooong time now, and all of the games I had for it are in an even worse condition... :(

I tried playing in other types of consoles since then, they all suck. Besides the reasons stated already, there\'s another major aspect: The feel.
Even if consoles would have stuff like PCs (e.g. keyboards, mices), it still won\'t be the same. PCs are better.

Or there might be the small posibility that you have never heard of the meaning of the word sarcasm, or how to tell if something written is sarcasm... Please leave the judging of others on these boards to the moderators, and don\'t direct any more of your ignorant rants at me in the future without at least thinking about what it is you\'re implying..

it\'s very simple:

PC > Console

i have seen a site with a bittorent link to FF 8 on the pc, with NO emulator :D

Also: If you have a console, and it is outdated in any way, can you upgrade it? i have seen a lot of Consoles go down the drain because of the fact they where outdated.. with pc\'s you just have to plugin a new processor/memory module/hard drive etc.. :D

But fact remains: there are a lot of good desent consoles out there, like the Atari or Commandore :D

Because it\'s a ported Console game. Go figure. ;)



(FF8 on the PS1 was pretty good though. It\'s a shame they decided to accurately port the crappy ps1 graphics when they made the game for the PC... it could\'ve rocked so many donkeys had it been given a graphical makeover worthy of PC-ness.)

Uhh not sure if this was posted or not... but there are emulators so you can play everything on your PC.  Although I don\'t have any so I don\'t know if the quality is any good.

Oh yea PS1 and Dreamcast

As well as most of the Game developers choose the pc to upgrade the programs..

Yup, the quality of emulators is good for the PC, especially for the older systems.  Some of the newer systems don\'t emulate completely perfectly on all systems, but definately not too bad.

I was one of the unfortunate people to purchase both FF7 and FF8 for the PC X( .  You could tell they didn\'t put any effort into them, they just directly ported them over.  Controls were annoying, wasn\'t stable, etc.  Now they don\'t even play on my system :(, so I have the emulated version of them now  :]

I consider Final Fantasy a Playstation game.....  No computer for it.....

Besides... I have great saved games on my memory cards, who\'d want to lose all that work!  8)

i had ff8 for both PC and PS1 and I had to return my PC version because it kept freezing up at the intro when the waves are hitting the beach, don\'t know why? Anyways I never tried getting a different one bah

heh, I just got FF9 the other day, got home and it didn\'t work, scratches on the first disk... now I have to wait till EB gets another copy. hopefully it won\'t take forever. I\'m on a reserve list \\

damn scratchable media... from now on all CDs should me made from diamonds
