The basic problem is that PS is pretty slow for everyone, even people with impossibly good hardware.  Hopefully the situation will improve somewhat with the next release, but this *alpha* software, i.e. they\'re more concerned with testing out and adding features than working on polish and speed.

Speed *is* a concern for the crystal space team, and work continues to be done there, but the developers are spread pretty thin when it comes to maintaining and developing an engine like CrystalSpace

Well I think i\'m gonna get a 256MB GeForce 5200 PCI. That should fix some of my FPS problems.

Actually scratch that, i\'m just gonna build a new system. This isn\'t the first time i\'ve played a game that acted like this so i\'m just gonna upgrade.

AthlonXP 3000+ with 400MHz FSB.
1GB PC3200 Duel Channel RAM.
GeForce FX5900 or FX5700ultra.
120GB SATA Hard Drive.
Windows XP Pro.

StealthTiger: Don\'t expect that PlaneShift is working better on this HW, mine is only slightly worse and PS still is really slow.

PS isn\'t my only reason theres tons of games I can\'t play becuase of my low specs.

HALO laggs like a b!tch for me.
PlanetSide was a joke my average was 0.5FPS.
PS its not doing much better than PlanetSide.
GTA3 It laggs but not as bad as the others.
GTA:VC Same as GTA3.

Thats just a small list of games that my comp chokes on.
