« on: May 06, 2004, 04:56:06 am »
a small one really, its been used before but its one of the more handy things in a MMORPG: \"click following\" that way if a partys moving the people following only have to \"piggyback\" the leader leaving them free to chat, eqip better etc..

thats all, aimple ide, not mine, and easily implimented :)

I think that\'s pretty much a given, well its really up to them. But I\'m willing to say it would be a very logical move.
My name is NOT pronounced, \"Kway-per,\" it\'s pronounced \"Kye-per.\"

You can also press the \"r\" key so you will automaticly walk,  than you can talk too while you\'re walking.

What you mean with piggypack.. I dunno but it would be a good idea to click on humans or animals to follow them, that he/she will just walk to that player and when he/she walks you will walk with him/her.

Yes..your walking idea could be usefull but I think the admins have lots of more things they want to do with the mouse. Than it would be nessasery to let a box show up when you click somewere so you can choose about \"pick up, walk, run, \"etc.

You don\'t need an option to pick up when you click on chars...
This box could appear on items, but it don\'t have to on chars.
Left click on a char targets him, left click on a targeted char follows him.

There\'s a problem though, many games that allow you to follow someone lock the movement keys while you\'re following, or do it so whenever you click a movement button it stops following. In PS it should be so you could move while following. That way you could avoid obstacles and monsters on the way by moving a bit to the side, and when you let go of the button, if returns to following.
