OPen GL Woes
« on: May 08, 2004, 10:35:17 am »
First let me give you my system.

PIII 733
1.3 Gigs of ram
80 Gig HD
Geforce 4 MX 440 Video.

Okay now my problem.  I just installed PS on my XP system, and when I try to run it in Open GL all I get is the music and a black screen.  I have tried the fixes listed in the FAQ, and tried changing the compatability settings and resolutions, Open GL settings.  Just about everything I can think of.  PS does run under softaware mode but it is so slow that it is unplayable, and it is more unstable.  anyone out there know how to fix this.  BTW it works fine on my XP laptop.

Thanks

Cobrec

BTW yes the game and dirvers are all patched.

GeForce 440 mx? You mean GeForce 4 mx 440 ??

GeForce 1 is to old I guess.. Try to get GeForce 4  (not Geforce 4 MX 440 becuase that one is based on GeForce 2, works too if if you\'re gonna buy a new one you can better buy the best)

Download the lastest directX, lastest sound and video drivers etc. and it should work.

Apparently, the \"New\" drivers I had were too old, I found new drivers and it works like a dream!
