ya that\'s what i was trying to say becuase typically when a blade has a jagged edge the edge\'s piont toward the hilt so when you strike your opponent you pull the blade back and it tear\'s for greater damege

actually, crystal swords could be quite versatile in a game like this
azure crystal swords for maximum damage on darkness creatures
fire/ruby? crystals swords for maximum damage on ice creatures etc etc
think of the possiblities! you could even have hybrid swords
i suggest you submit this on laanx wheel of wishes

now the sword would be good for piercing. The blade looks heavier now lol and more powerful

I think the first blade was cool:

It looks like it could pass through physical matter, but cut away @ the soul/spirit of your enemy. Sometimes this would be more effective. The blade could be a representation of it. & besides, I think the first one looks a whole lot nicer?

I like it!! that\'s sweet!! now all you need is a sweet hilt and it\'ll be an uber sword! it lookes like a broadsword of some type, and I agree with the soul comment. Good work on this so far!!

first one was better the second one looks like crap. Maybe it is becuase the blade closer to the hilt has all these branches shooting out and halfway up the blade it straightens.

Xelex you don\'t know what you\'re talking about!! the point of those \"branches\" is to slide into a person and then get caught and tear flesh as you pull it out, or to break other weapons that get caught in it. By having a straight edge on the end you get a heavy point and you get a slashing edge so this sword would be good for piercing and slashing. It\'s a good design as it is.

After some little work i realised that the handle was quite ugly so I tried re-forging the sword and here is what I have done.
What\'s LWW ?

still needs a lot of help with the grip... maybe a wrapped texture for the actual grip (leather or wire), and a pommel decoration of some sort, and something for the crossgueard (runes, etc.) The blade looks great though.
