dude, every GTA is a vast improvement over the last, hell, for the first three they completely rewrote the engine. it\'s not milking the same old dishrag if you buy a new one of the same brand. that\'s like saying final fantasy, ultima or playboy is getting old. it just isn\'t true

Johnny Depp\'s a poser to the throne. No one will ever play the part as well as Gene Wilder

FF sucks so bad, and isn\'t, not even by a longshot, worth stampeding eachother to death over (as the japaneese tend to do when a new game in that series is released)

Ultima is still as boring as it\'s always been, at least compared to other games in it\'s genre.. And as to playboy *no comment* :P

I didn\'t say I don\'t like it, it\'s just a bit boring :P I enjoy a good game of Anarchy far more than a game on a free server that isn\'t even up :P

Not every sequel = milking...
Every GTA game is diffrent from the other. Sure, in all of them you play a guy in a city that kills people and get money for it, and do missions for people, etc. But everything else is diffrent, and it\'s alot more fun.

Basicly, it\'s the same game, it\'s viewable from more angles, and has some new missions... boring =)

well I could put it like in my usual dialog when someone tries to make me play some game:

me: can you use swords there?
someone: no.
me: stupid game...

but seriously, I\'ve been playing GTA... 1! \'twas cool :]
Never got myself into playing sequel or anything.
Not sure why...
but wow... how gta keeps changing...

There was a Katana in Vice City... You could literally chop a person in half, and falling apart. Or chop his head, arms, etc.

In GTA1 you could ride something that might have been bicycles. The handling was aweful... Not as bad as the fast bikes though, forgot how they\'re called (they were in Vice City too).

Yes i agree. The first gta was fun since you could do things you would normally have you jailed for a long time. It really made it possible to live out your sadistic side. To run over a sect, shoot people, chase people then shoot them, burn them, steal a tank and wreak havoc, scare people so they run on the rail get electrocuted etc.

Vice city was fun since you began from a low life criminal and ended up as the crime boss in town.

But now ive seen and done it all. Cant imagine anything really new they can come up with. Im tired of playing a sadistic criminal. Now im looking forward to a game like gta but where you have to look for honest work which you do from 9 to 5 (real time) to come home to your family sit home in front of tv the rest of the time. YEs that is what GTA4 should be like :)

Every GTA game (since the first one) made me think that it can\'t go any better. But it had. Every GTA game had new things that made it totally diffrent and great.
You can\'t really tell if there will be anything new in San Andreas before you actually play it...

And there are games like you described. The Sims, for example. And an old one, Jones or something, but it\'s still nice.

Giving numbers to GTA: VC and GTA: SA is wrong. You could say that they\'re extensions to GTA3.
In GTA1 there were three cities - Liberty City (New York), Vice City (Miami), and San Andreas (San Fransisco).
So VC and SA are actually GTA3 too, more or less...
