Yesterday while listening to ?Sail Away? (by Anya) I decided to model some Large Tropical Fish.

It looks best in ViewMash. Maybe after I animate it, I will probably be putting it on Laanx Wheel of Wishes, although it could be mounted on a plaque now & be some sort of Trophy Fish on a wall?


Simple Starfish Example:

I only spent a very short time on this one & am saving it for a ?Small Underwater? collection, mostly for decoration of the lake bottom, I am going to model more Starfish of different number of legs & lengths later?


Underwater Bug / Mini-Shrimp?

I made these really quick, I don?t really know why? But I?ll just call them shrimp & that?s that?


Fish Tank:

Here is something to put the fish you caught for decoration or holding purposes. I am definitely going to have one in my house. This tank I just started modeling is made with an Alpha map, semi-transparent texture & has no smoothing. Perfect for decorating a room!

Probably something like a Bright Red with white spots would look nice, & maybe some more poly for bigger size? I could also make them look like they are made of crystals would look cool

your starfish have too many points (normally they have 5) looks strange.
your fish have no eyes and a rather unstreamline unfish feel.
the shrimp things... are actually quite interesting, i like a lot =)

Yeah of course model the ugly fish. I think the fish look great. I can see their eyes. Or what appear to be eyes. The star fish look like the kind that you find in rock pools. Although the tops are more round on them.

Its main weapon is it?s poisonous stinger in it?s head & can use some Blue Way magic. Sciphins have the unusual ability to swim through air just as well as water. Yliakum scientists don?t know why but although they have been known to fly up to 10ft. in the air, most stay below 3ft. their entire life. They are usually found around beaches or in shallow water, but some larger Sciphins have been found @ the bottom of the lake.

It?s a work in-progress: I am thinking of maybe retexturing it so that it will match a river bottom & we can use it near rivers/streams? I am still perfecting the animation & texture?
