Draklar: I think it\'s a nice idea that if you don\'t like anything in these board, you quit. There\'s no point in flaming the Cabal while people enjoy the Cabal. I\'ll be sad to see you go though. Maybe you should try to close your eyes when you come in some threads (although the number of good threads is decreasing quickly ). Sometimes it\'s good to accept things that we consider as wrong. Remember that probably not all the people here enjoy all your posts. But they don\'t flame you nor hate you. You are part of this community. Please stay and improve it with your own opinion.

About mods, i think we should stop this (at least I\'ll stop) slaughtering on spam policies. They are really under a too heavy pressure. Different people from all over the community ask them absolutely contradictory things and i seriously pity Mogura now. She was quite liked before she became a moderator and now she end up being both most loved and most hatred people in the community (according to awards), only because she can\'t please everyone.
Face the contradictions of the community. Some people enjoy Cabal funny spamming (i won\'t say i enjoy snow_raven spaming X(). Some want clean boards. But don\'t put all the fault on the moderators.

(i still think there\'s other things wrong in moderator system that just spam policy, but as this isn\'t allowed here ... )

This is really of topic in here but what the hell, everything that has cabal in the thread name is offtopic when made.

the mistake isn\'t wih the mods, it\'s with the number of mods.

The reason Mogura was a good mod was the time she was online, she was one of the only mods that was actually online everyday and was moderating the entire time.
I think they should give some people small moderator rights like locking threads and removing obvious spam.
That way nobody can blame them since they don\'t have the power todo any huge damage.

Mogura is still a loved person on the forums, but the people that don\'t like her are those that are pissed at her for removing threads and posts.

I don\'t agree on the ban\'s ( and this might give me one but it is bothering me for a while allready so i just have to tell it ) to the people.
For example : if i call venge an idiot i can get banned for showing distrespect towards the admin, but when i call auran an idiot it is normall.
And in that way i disagree with the mods, be a fair moderator and ban everybody that curses against eachother, not just people that curse against the people with the power.

and otherwise ban the people that really should be banned.

i know this post is useless but maybe some people will start thinking, i know that i\'m not the only one that\'s thinking about it this way.

well you can make it a mod debate, but then people get banned.

you can also give the mods / admin an idea how to resolve the mayor spam problem, cause you have to admit, 90% of the posts are useless info, and you do need some more people that can remove posts / threads.

like for the guilds forum, it is possible to give someone mod rights to a single thread, lets say the owner of the thread gets mod rights on it, that way it\'s fair enough, and he can see if he wants posts removed.

Actually, it makes alot of sense to ban \\ tempban someone that is abusive towards the mods.
When you punch someone, you might get punched back. When you punch a cop, it\'s \'assault of a police officer\' or whatever, and will probebly get you into jail.
Why? Because the cops\' job is to maintain order, and are generally good for the community (when they don\'t give you a ticket for crossing the road at red light even though it\'s against some idiotic law -_- ), so this is how you repay someone that does good? Punch him?

Mods and admins are the same thing.
If you flame Aruan, you might get flamed back. If you flame Venge, it\'s as if you spat on a cop that arrested a thief that stole stuff from your house.

the problem is that the moderation on these forums aint here, so there is no \"cop\" and then there is the personal opinion, when i say i think venge is an idiot is different then saying venge is an idiot, if i say he is an idiot then you would be right and it is that cop thingy but when i say i think he is an idiot it is my personal opinion, he can\'t punish me for that it\'s even against the law to do that.

but then again, there is almost no moderation here and as you probably noticed SaintNuclear, i disagree with your statement.

Saint, your right about the whole punching a cop stuff, but still, there should be a general level of equalness somewhere. Dorbian u\'r right about the lack of modding (Which is partly due to Venge and Acraig being busy with a certain game ), and the personal opinion bit.

Can you really have guidelines like this though? It is almost as we are setting up a new government. This whole \'ban/mod/admin\' debate is almost not needed, because everyone has a different sense of \'fair judgement\'. Nobody is perfect and neither can an anti-spam system be. There will be loop holes and contradictions, but it can\'t be helped. Look at the US government. It has been around for 200 years and it is still nowhere near perfection.

Savion says this \'One Man\'s Spam is Another Mans Topic\'. It really just comes down how well it is judged.
