My name now is Seagon Switchblade and i will tell you a little tale about how i ended up in this world.
In my previous life i was a noble paladin from the world of Norrath, and was well known under the name Seagon Dragonslave.
Faithfull to the Lightbringer i searched the lands for people that were in need of any help.
In my life i slayed many evil persons as well as monsters and hellspawn.
My story begins here.
Regretfull to say, i was born a half-elve in the city of Freeport, needless to say the people there didn\'t like elves and half elves, the militia and most of the towns people were corrupted and very fond of anything that shined and could be used as a payment for allmost everything.
The Head of the militia... i will never forget his name, was sir Lucan \'d Lere, he used to be a noble paladin of good standing untill he killed one of his fellow paladin brothers.
His fate was to be stripped of his paladin might and to be degraded to a mere warrior.
After that moment he formed the Freeport militia and slowly, little by little he turned the whole city into one of the most corrupted towns in Norrath.
When i reached the age of 18 and i was summoned to the temple of Marr to eventually become a noble paladin in the name of Mithaniel Marr \"the Lightbringer\".
I started my trial with much enthousiasm and had to kill a militia spy that was trying to find out what the paladin forces were planning against the Freeport militia.
Before i slayed her, she looked at me with enormous eyes as if she saw something in me that frightened her and she sayed softly \"you are the chosen that has been sent to slay sir...\" she silenced as i striked.
Anctious as i was i didn\'t hear her out to find out what she meant only till the event had allready passed.
Years later and numerous missions to defend towns and castles and help the peaple that were in need of help passed by.
I overheared from a small group of high paladins that the Freeport Militia had gone too far and that they must be stopped i started to tremble as if i understood what they were planning.
A few days later the paladin order summoned me to the high council.
they sayed becouse of my rare high standing as a half-elve paladin, and of my great and noble deeds i was chosen to slay...
Everything went black as i remembered that first day, that very first mission.
The militia spy frightened by my appearance telling me i was to kill someone.
The thought raced through my mind and i linked it to the words of a few day\'s ago that the freeport militie has to be stopped, i realised that I was to kill the head of the freeport militia.
As the thought faded and reality snapped back in it was as if time had stopped for a moment and they were about to speak out HIS name.
I turned around facing the exit with the words \"I accept the mission to slay Sir Lucan\" and i walked out preparing for the task at hand.
the next day i was thrown out of my bed by a handfull of paladins telling me \"the time has come\".
As i raised i grabbed my armor and blade and walked out the door.
Surprisingly the head councelor stood in frond of my house, presenting me with a hilt with no blade attached to it.
Was it what i thought it was? no, it couldn\'t be.
councelor: \"Wield this holy blade with honor and pride noble paladin, you will need its strength and it will serve you well\"
I placed my blade on the dirt and kneeled to recieve the hilt and blessngs of the head councelor.
It was indeed The Fiery Defender.
The most holy sword in existence.
As the group got closer to the border of West Freeport the soldiers of the militia stood in line awaiting us.
As i saw them i gripped the hilt and released a short prayer, and out of nothing the hilt started to glow and a few seconds later an enormous flame bursted out of it forming the blade. I could feel my strength getting boosted and then i stormed the soldiers, starting a massacre together with my brothers.
I saw the soldiers aswell as my brothers fall to the ground which feeded my anger more and more untill Sir Lucan stepped out of the militia building.
With eyes flaming as furyous as my fiery defender i stared right into his eyes as we stormed eachother.
After a furious battle between good and evil i slayed Sir Lucan, only to see him getting ressurected as an undead skeleton. the battle continued untill the sun disappeared and the Moon \"Luclin\" rose into the sky and my blade was the only thing trowing a bit of light on the surroundings i was stabbed in the back by a soldier and i fell to the ground only to see the undead Lucan getting ready to slay me.
I looked around and saw every single one of my brothers laying in blood surrounded by militia soldiers, feeding my anger once more.
I stood up and parry\'d Lucan\'s attack and sliced his undead bones in half.
I turned around as i stormed the soldiers and one by one i slayed them as if they were nothing.
At the end of the battle i looked along the battlefield realising that the soldiers i have slayed were also my brothers.
I collapsed and kneeled at their corpses
The wound piercing my back and chest was fatal and my end was allmost near.
I closed my eyes chanting a ressurection spell but it was too late... the moment i opened my eyes i saw a bright light and in that light stood The Lightbringer himself.
He toll\'d me i was to be punished for killing his followers and he banned me to this world.
So here i am reborn, but not again as a future paladin. for one more mistake would give me the same result.
no... i would become a soul without the rules of good and join the legions of evil, prowling the dark, stealing whats to steal and killing for pleasure.
The flame of my blade that once was a Fiery Defender was changed into a frightening black roaring flame... The Avenger.
My name now is Seagon Switchblade and my purpose is to bring death and destruction.
I ride on my horse, named Black Death, spawned from the underworld with fur as black as the night itself and red flaming manes and with my blade The Avenger nothing stands in my way of defiling the lands and slaying everyone in my sight.
SEAGON IS REBORN.
