prisoners

well this didnt show up when i searched for it, so here is my idea:
since we have so many guilds and stuff and from what i understand we will have guild wars, i think the losing guild in a guild war would become the winning guilds prisoner for like say 30 minutes max ingame, during this time they have to like do certain tasks or something for the winning guild, till they earn back their freedom. but, if a prisoner does not want to serve the winning guild, they can buy their freedom for a fee.

comments, criticism, suggestions?

Less like actual prisoners and more like Indentured Servants (Slaves)

Bah prisoners :P Bad experience on Graalonline P2P Server, I was in the guild Dustari for a while and there was another nation called Zormite. A great war waged at the gates of Dustari, I was a gate guard and when we died or got put down the GM Bird 0_0 would warp us to the Zormite prison! He left us in there for along time and forgot about us and didn\'t come back on for like 3 days! So unless there is a timed system of somesort prisons bad!

What kind of orders could they probebly give the capatives?
I know, there are jobs, but still. You wouldn\'t want a capative to cook you food, nor heal you. The only thing you might let a capative do is repair the damaged structures, but that depends on the way it\'ll work.

And how can you order them? They\'ll just disobey.
What punishments can you give them if they disobey? Hit them.
They\'ll keep disobeying until you hit them to death, and then they\'re in the death realm and you can\'t do peanut about it.

no i think it should be something like they have to do it or something, for instance in real life, you would never let some1 hit you to death instead of running a simple errond like going down to the store and buying a sword for the guy.  i think the tasks could vary from say helping them in battles fighting monsters, to doing whatever your job is for them for free. yes i think having prisoners cook or heal for you is a good idea, especially if you arent a good cook or something, then it could save you time and you get something better than if you did it yourself.

Funnily, this isn\'t real life, this is a game.
In PS you won\'t lose anything if you die. You\'ll just have to go around the death realm and then you\'re all fine.
And not only you didn\'t lose anything by dying, you also don\'t have to help your captor.

So people will prefer dying than helping their captors.

They could run during the combat, or attack their captors.

Are you naive enough to let your slaves cook you food and cast magical spells on you?

\"Heal me now!\" .. \"What..?\" .. \"Help!!\" .. \"Uhh, you\'ve got to speak up. I can\'t hear you.\" .. \"Aaarrghhh my leg!! Help!!\" .. \"Uhm... Oh yeah, I\'m supposed to do something, right?\" *shrugs* .. \"Oh god no! Not that! Aaahhh!!\" .. \"You okay? You look a lil\' bit shaky.\" .. \"......\" .. \"Wait, wasn\'t I supposed to heal him? Oh well. I\'m off. Seeya!\"

That would be a typical Slave/Owner scene in the forest. :)

As for the whole slave/prisoner idea, I don\'t like it really. It\'s a waste of someone\'s time, and try turning it around. Would you spend your time sucking up to someone and get nothing for it? Would you sit on your rear and be bored for 30 minutes straight, just staring at your screen and waiting so you can get out? I think not. :)
\"Somewhere over the rainbow...\"
