whoa, i lost you at about the start of the first paragraph. why wouldnt oyu be neutral if you had pref customers? its just like saying, \"thanks for coming, next time you can pay less.\"

and if someone tells me what impartial means, ill understand it more.

Impartial = not taking sides

The mercenary guild was impartial in order to stay neutral.

Why would it make the mercenary guild no longer neutral if they gave away preferred customer status?

Because guilds that did not get this status would see this as biased towards that guild.
If that guild was in a war with another guild and was seriously thinking hiring a mercenary guild and it finds out the other guild has preferred status then you\'ve lost that deal.
It\'s also a loss of profit. \'Shrug.\'

its not really a loss of profit, because they arent buying any supplies or anything for each job. they arent gonna go buy an entirely new sword or armor etc just because they have a job, and its not labor, becaue they are playing a game, so they cant \"lose profit\"

well... maybe

because they\'re getting less profit than usual..

so according to Merriam Webster online, they aren\'t not gaining...so would this be a loss of profit or not...

No way, you are really confusing me now...

Pronunciation: \'pr?-f&t
Function: noun
1 : a valuable return : GAIN

what? what on earth is \'pr?-f&t it looks and sounds nothing like profit looks more like \'pr?-f&t and sounds like pra fatt...

The last scentence, you double negatived yourself. Nice one. Or you meant to, see how confusing your posts are! It is a loss of profit if you give prefferred customer status to someone because they will pay less for things. Anyway remember the neutral theology.

Loss of profit since we will be getting less, but it is not like we are losing our money, we are making less. Stop trying to confuse everyone, both of you XD (j/k)

i double negatived on purpose to show what i am saying, with no intention to confuse. its actually really easier for me to understand, but can be confusing...
the pronounciation part i used ctrl+C/ctrl+V and i guess the letters arent usable here, but the pronunciation is unimportant.

my posts might be confusing, but to some they arent, and at least i dont flame/critisize in all of my posts! you have 6 posts all of wich you are doing one of the 2 (uncool), i think your having your period(joke)

and who cares if you make less, you are still making profit

What do you mean who cares? If we make 4 tria when we could have made 5 thats a loss in my book.

Oh yeah introductions are in order. I am KameZero proud member of the mercenary guild for a few months.

its not a big loss. and you could make acheiving(sp?) preffered customer rank dfficult, so that you dont lose 500 tria a day.

...and that sig is RIGHTEOUS!

Anyways Edoo, it works out something like this:

If we give away preferred customer status, we\'d supposedly get more jobs from preferred customers.  More jobs, but for less cash.

We\'d also be just as likely to lose jobs from non-preferred customers who no longer trusted us to be truly neutral.  Lost jobs that would have been paid in full.

So you get a few more jobs but you\'re paid less, and you lose the same amount of full-paid jobs.  Net result: loss.  And it would only go downhill.

We\'re sticking with total neutrality and flat rates.  It\'s not our job to be friends with anyone.  It\'s our job to do what we\'re paid for.

What if they pay us to be their friends?

Just stopped by your site and forums yesterday...

WOW!  Especially the forums.  I like the side/top image a lot, and also the little sword icons.  I like the dark motif too.  Congratz to whoever set up your forums!
