It is highly likely that there will be different zones, that is almost inevitable in large games. However, I doubt that they will be too much of a burden.

if i undertood correctly , there will be regions wich will be groups of sectors ( those who are use with PS/CS know what it is )  between eatch regions there will be a smaller sector wich will be smaller ( transitional one ), when you enter it , the game will begin to load the next region , if i remember correctly , this will not supress zone laoding , but will reduce it a bit
I did finaly found a work :))

I\'d rather have a dozen zones that load in 30 seconds than 4 big zones that load in 5-6 minutes.

What would be really nice is background zone loading, but this has to be implemented in the CrystalSpace engine so that adding things from one thread doesn\'t cause conflicts with the thread that is doing all the drawing.

yes a larger zone would be better, it would be a bit annoying chasing a monster in CB and having to load alot.

Hmm I doubt that monsters could cross zones though :)

I agree with the large zone idea. Really I\'d be nice to load the whole game at once but that is probably not likly. They did that when they ported the 2 n64 zelda games to gc there was one load screen in the begining and that was it.
