England was pretty dysfunctional without Rooney around. It shows just how well the team plays as a whole when they don\'t have exceptional talent to help them. I was pretty impressed by how Lampard and Cole were playing though, but England really lacked that killer instinct after scoring their first goal.
Oh well, England are generally overrated. They\'ve got some good players but they don\'t quite match up to the big guns when it matters. I thought the decision to deny Campbell\'s goal was dubious, but it did look like an infringement somewhat anyway.
Going by the statistics alone, I think Portugal deserved to win. They put in more effort overall, and at such a high level nobody should ever let Beckham take a penalty kick.
Now let\'s see Greece whip France *cough cough*
