Game freeze...

The game completely freezes each time I try to create a character. No keyboard shortcut works anymore, which makes me manually reboot... Can someone help me fix this please ?

Elferin: i\'m not sure but i think a possible solution is to rush trough the char creation (at this moment the skills don\'t matter).

I know my english isn\'t very good but i hope the message was clear. (Can someone explain what\'s wrong with that sentence? I couldn\'t find an error and I don\'t like to make the same fault twice.)

And is it such a big deal ? I made a search, but found nothing. Wrong board, yep. But the technical help board wasn\'t mentionned on the planeshift - community page, and I was in a hurry, so I posted this thread in the most apropriate board I could see on the community page. You see a normal, polite behavior would have been to mention this to me in the first place, or tell someone else to move this topic to the right board. And what\'s this irc stuff ? Since when do we have to ask on irc before posting on a board ?

Thanks Taldor, but it\'s pretty tough : I don\'t have more than 20-30sec before it freezes lol. Any other idea ?

Taldor: The spelling error was with Altharion\'s name, not the rest of the sentence.

Elferin: Just ignore Altharion....

Anyway, are you able to make a character before it freezes through the quick creation? (Only your name and race/appearance are important at this stage, no char skills/jobs are implemented yet).

Could you post your computer specs as well? (CPU, RAM, OS & video card).  That may help to see what the problem is.

edit: ok fine.. there was two errors.  Wouldn\'t was missing the \'l\' as well.  Does it really matter? :rolleyes:  Its still perfectly readable.

Well, was it that damn had to figure out what he was saying? Also, you don\'t have to go point out everyone\'s spelling mistakes. That is very annoying. They don\'t go and do it to you; eh?

Elferin, try to make your character in the 25 seconds you have (use the quick creation.)

Altharion, personally, I don\'t mind that you point out my spelling mistakes, but please say what exactly is wrong, not just: \"s p e l l l i n g\".
