Remember, the 4th is meant to celebrate independence, thusly, the \"founding fathers\" of America.  Now those guys were real leaders.


I think Bastille Day is coming up on the 14th, if my memory serves.

WEEE!!!! I was out all day today. Yes; that means away from the comp.! The Fireworks Shows were pretty good for once. I had some fun too with my own. :D

Anyways, We have been Independant for 228 years if anyone cares, which I doubt. :P

Better too late then never, CONGRATULATIONS!

Pretty impressive that in such a short time the country from scratch became the superpower in the world.

Fortunately Holland traded New York (and 4 small states there) with the english. Okay okay we were forced to :)

Not really, the US Gov\'t has existed 228 years straight!  Sure there was one civil war, but the gov\'t didn\'t drop out of existence.  Many modern governments have not been in place that long.  Also, Russia (USSR) became a superpower in a relatively short period of time.


You British better be glad you gave up your half of the world willingly, otherwise you\'d be swimming in a sea of terrorists right now.  :rolleyes:
