Player Created Cities

I would like to see the ability for builders, architects, and whoever else be able t come together and create their own city, and when someone wants to become a citizen of the city they are given a house where they can place anywhere in the city limits. Job specific characters should be able to work with the builders+architects also to create business structures; such as the Brewer he should be able to create a bar, and a farmer should be able to let them create a farm, and so on . . .

I would like this idea except for the fact, no one just walks around and decides one day that they want to build a city.  Cities more just happen; small township/village is built around or near a resource, the town/village prospers from the resource, more people come to get rich from resource, offshot buisiness start, still more people come to town, repeat last two steps until something new happens.

Besides no one is going pay someone to live in a \"city\" with three people in it you know, more of a situation of who has the biggest axe:P

Anyway I don\'t think the devs would like random cities popping up here there and everywhere.

I think its a great idea, but you should have to contact the Devs and get the city name and place aproved first to prevent Disneyland frmo being net to Hydlla!

Its a beauty of a idea and there is another game where they have tried this but in a smaller aspect: Build your home, castle, railroad track etc...

  I agree with Z a city is built through time and different stages, no one just up and builds something like that unless your building Neverland like Michael Jackson or unless your a oil tycoon or Bill Gates!

cause the game is still in urly stage and this feature can only be implented when the planeshift world expands alot.

Bah! this is planning for the futur.

You see this will only ever be implemented in many many months :P and so the reason he posted it, a very good one, is so that people who are around now can point to this to sound cool when the exact same thread is posted in say a year or so.

because they need to get a EXTREMELY well thought and nice system to have this work. This game is also atleast a year away from thinking of such a system.

I think that they should have some architecture contributions for people that can draw locations and for people that can model and if map2cs is improved and integrated to ps, and then submit things in different catogories like buildings, terrain, etc and submit it for the Team leaders to consider implementing this. (of course having some story behind then can work)

there are also other stuff like:

making locations sims style which has been suggested and been flamed.

creating an own system to create your own epic city with a bug free, advance and easy tool with all the features availible. though the mapping feature can only be availible for the job \"architecture\". And only player which has the job \"builder\" can  build the location for that person. (WHICH IS BULLSHIT)


if this wish is so popular then i would go with my first suggestion.

Im not really sure why you would want to make your own entier city at such an early stage considering you havent even been to the full one that the game supplys...

i dont know how the game runs on its servers but from most other games if players did build there own citys that would take up a hell of a lot of server space... and most players would rather get rid of lag than have a lag causeing player made city...
