Guild EXPO 2004

As a way to see MB off, and as a collective recruitment campaign, I believe we should have a guild expo.

each of the larger guilds would get a spoke off of the main plaza and lesser guilds would stand around wherever they please

I would advise the guilds taking part to acquire aineko\'s mods, so that when a prospective member asks for info they can whip out a macro But take heed, the macros must use /say instead of /shout.

I would like a suggestion on when to hold this expo and a GM to collect a Security Deposit. The idea with the security deposit is that if you are shamelessly /shouting to advertise you will lose your deposit, or if you are flaming an opposing guild, or you do anything else that is deemed out of line by the GM(s) and/or (if possible) 2-3 official expo organizers. Most likely the expo organizers wouldn\'t get the ability to /mute and the like, but they would have some sway in the decisions of a GM. As in they could request a GM to mute someone

If this becomes a tradition I could buy a domain and host it. Currently I\'m going to try hosting it at guildexpo.phoenixcall.net (Nothing there now )

If someone (I know there is someone that is adept at php/MySQL) would like to make a little script for registering your guild to show up with fields like

Guild Name:
Memeber count:
Alignment:
Homepage Linky:

To make a guest list

Thanks icebr4kr for the PHP and MySQL... I\'ll try to whip up a site tonight and put that in. A simple thing to help me learn

To morrow I will put out a request for a preson or two to act as, in a nutshell, people who help make the whole thing work. I think this will also require a \"photographer\" for screenies...

Keep the flaming in tells... and if ther person who donates the item for the raffle is in the CV or IT, then maybe you should hold off on the flaming altogether! Of course, who knows who will donate o.o

I think that the guild expo will be a longer way off than I thought
I have to pack to go out to new mexico. specifically to a place with no interent *waits for the gasps to die down*

josePhoenix is going on vacation for 10 days. If anyone feels it\'s urgent to hold it within those 10 days (before CB comes out?), then either I can host it, or someone else can. Once the site is up, we need to decide on a date. Otherwise, we can wait for him to come back .
