Hmmmmm...

Do you see where it says name?  And then next to it it says Molecular?  Well, when this screen first comes up, the space next to Name: is blank.  Click there, and type in your desired name.  But be careful!  A lot of names are taken, so you might not be able to get the one that you want.  Also, spaces, dashes (-), commas (,) and so forth are not allowed.    You can only use a name with latin based letters, no cyrillic.

On another note, just because you are from Russia, does not mean that you are stupid!  I know a fair amount of nice and intriguing (not to mention amazingly smart) Russians.  Even some on these forums and ingame, such as Karyuu.

Edit:  Also no numbers in the name.

If you need any more help on this topic, be sure to check out the Character Creation section on the main site.

The only characters allowed to be in your name are latin letters.  So you can use Vit if you want...

Well yes, since they are composed of latin letters.  I mean abc instead of абв.

PS may run slowly for a variety of reasons. Try using pssetup.exe to fiddle with the options and see if changing resolution, colourdepth etc makes any difference.

Also note that you need a decent computer to play. 256mb+ of RAM is ideal, but you would generally require more if you\'re running on WindowsXP (XP is a RAM hog).

Some people with very decent systems (1gb RAM, 2GHz+ CPU, etc), however, can sometimes suffer the worst lag of all. (Not me... OpenGL gives me 200fps and I have to run Software mode to deliberately slow it down or my system freezes :P)

In most cases, lag is due to unoptimised code in the graphics engine and several memory leaks in both the client and server programs. There is nothing the average user can do to fix this, unfortunately.

Please share your system specs with us so I know what I need to buy once I can!

It wouldn\'t automatically mean you got the same results, Seytra. You\'d have to have the exact same system and all hardware to be absolutely sure, which is of course next to impossible. Also, it\'s quite uncommon that a high spec system runs PS as well as this.

2.2GHz AMD Athlon
1GB DDR RAM
NVidia GeForce FX 5200 Pro Gamer (256mb)
150GB HDD (100GB free)

Two key things in my system that are likely to affect performance in PS are the RAM and GFX card. A tonne of RAM always helps, and PS is notourious (sp?) for hating most Radeon cards (and alot of people here seem to be using Radeons).
