Eraglous Art Thread
« on: July 13, 2004, 06:50:19 am »
Im gonna use this thread to put all my stuff in from now on
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v251/Crazedfool/planeshift
This one actually looked better before I put it online.  It was too big so the host i have probably lowered the quality so it would fit the requirements =p  It still looks ok IMO so Im putting it up.  looks like I did it in charcoal, which I didn\'t.

don\'t ask why I didnt use real paper =p

some sort of goat demon thing -|

this one is supposed to be some kind of flower (used a ball point pen to do this one and the next if you can believe it)

and then the photoshop\'d version -

I had a portal or something in mind when I did this one. Someone told me they can see a cloaked figure in there somewhere.

photoshop\'d

did this one the exact same way I did my sig minus the name.

(edit)
heh, was just playing around and I found out I could do this =)

Heres the *sort of* finished version... I say \'sort of\' because i\'m not completely satisfied with the way the little village turned out.

I can see why youd be unhappy with the village, if the houses werent intact id think it had just been attacked

also the change from mountains to the plains is a little too sudden it makes it seem like two pictures put together instead of one big one. Good coloring on the knight though

Yeah it  looks a little better. You might want to clean up the knight and darken the cliff so that it fits with the background.

I appreciate you suggesting that I darken the cliff (I wouldn\'t have thought of it)

pretty intense drawings you have there, how long approximately does it take you to do many that first one posted ?

Nice job Eraglous looks good now all you need is to clean up the lines on the knight. :)

OT: finally, someone else posts. oh well 8 posts between two people is a good run  i guess :D

Hehe =p  Now that I know how to use photoshop better I should be able to clean it up without much trouble.  I used just normal paint to do most of the knights armor, which is why it looks sloppy
(edit) (ah, and the fact that the host reduces the quality when I upload it.  Ill have to work around that though)

Depth - I think it took me about two hours.  I worked on it 2 days, probly 1 to 1 1/2 an hour on each day.  The basic drawing didn\'t take me that long but I kept adding little details here and there

Thread seems to have died =(

This next one is somewhat gory - I don\'t think its detailed enough to bother most people

(edit) im most of all proud of the splattering blood =p  turned out rather good imo

im coming up with a story that goes with this guy.  I\'ll post it whenever it gets anywhere near havign a stable base construction.

I tried to give the guy on the right a sort of a \"blank stare\" rather than a yelling or a painful expression.
I know that there are minor problems with proportions for the guy on the left (legs mainly)
BG will probly change

This one took me a while

SO uh.. yeah... tell me what you think

This one was made to be a joke.  I was looking through a D&D monster book and found a monster called a \"brownie\".  A brownie is more like a halfling, but I was thinking it would be kinda weird to run into a \"Brownie\" in a text based game and then trying to imagine the fight scene if you didn\'t know what a brownie really was =p.
Ignore the HORRIBLY low quality on it, I only spent about an hour working on it.  To top that off I added some sort of filter that messed with the colors and then I saved over it without realizing I did it (like a moron =p).  Still gets the point across

Since I havn\'t done anything directly related to Planeshift here are some sketches I did of a Kran.  I\'ll do a real one with color and everything sometime soon.

BTW if you can\'t read the print just ignore it.  MY print is horrendous.

the cursive was just a few comments for myself
