Favorite game music
« on: July 14, 2004, 02:55:30 am »
The greatest joy in my life comes from listening to good music. It\'s an overwhelming feeling of elation that nothing else can beat. Right now, I\'m getting that from an OC remix of the Frog theme from Chrono Trigger.

Nothing beats Chrono Trigger music. Music has existed for millennia, and Chrono Trigger was it\'s epitomy of greatness.

What\'s your favorite game music?

I dont usualy like the music that is put into games... but i must say that PS has an awsome sound track.

As far as my favorite music+game combo, i would probably go with playing Painkiller whIle listEning to Butterfly Temple.

Q: How many Planeshifters does it take to expalin a simple concept to a newb?
A: Six. Five to argue on who\'s explanation is right, and Moogie to lock the thread.

Planeshift has great music, especially on the menu, but it\'s nothing incredible.

Super mario bros 1 of course :D

Just kidding, the best game music I\'ve heard so far is that from Final Fantasy 3, but Chrono-trigger is not far away. I find it quite incredible that you can put so much feeling into a simple 16-bit soundcard.
Oh, and the main theme from mega man 3 won\'t go out of my head. Very impressive for a 8-bit card.

Mega man 3

Ahhh, retro :)

Baldur\'s Gate 2 intro, ingame and the level-up sound! Just...awe, pure awe. Too bad i don\'t have a cable, otherwise that\'s how my phone would ring. :)

Favourite sounds: Worms *. Nothing beats the angry scots :D

Tony Hawk2 has a cool soundtrack too.
"Amor sceleratus habendi"- Ovid

The Chrono Trigger sound track is pretty good but I think I like Star Ocean: The Second Story\'s sound track best

Joeyguy you just earned some huge points.  I read the subject for this thread and thought \"I have to post CT music\"  but it seems that others had the same thought.  So all I really have to say is \"Ditto Joeyguy\"

Super Metroid music, all the way.  Even the music from parts of the original Metroid would get stuck in my head, and not in a bad way.

Music from the Mac version of Lemmings (around 1992 or so) would get stuck in my head, and in a bad way.  Still does, and I haven\'t played the game for years.
