The Forsaken Ones Officially Dead

Greetings all. I just wanted to finally make an official announcement of The Forsaken One\'s death. A while back, as many of you know, the guild failed... real life took un-managable amounts of time from my Planeshift activity. Then, I thought I saw a window for me to get back into things, so I decided to try and raise the guild from the dead... It obviously didn\'t work and has never been the same since the guilds glorious first months. Because of things in my life, I cannot offer the dedication required of a guild leader... I was thinking of trying one last time, but I can\'t risk recruiting more members and dissapointing them. There is a small chance I\'ll give it one last go when CB is released, but that is not likely. At any rate, thank you all for your support throughout the guild\'s time in Planeshift, and to former FSO members, I apologize. If anyone is interesting in taking over the guild as is, contact me at any time at devoted@theforsakenones.com and we can discuss details. As for myself, I will still be around and as active as possible... but I can no longer lead the guild. As much as it pains me to say this, add the guild to the graveyard... it\'s over.

I am truly sorry to hear this, Devoted.  The Forsaken Ones, and you in particular, have long been supporters of the mission of Mirth.  For that, I thank you.  It saddens me that such a wonderful guild is gone.  I wish you the best in whatever you choose to do, and pledge the friendship of Mirth Guild unto you.

First of all, thank you for your replies. Though, to my astonishment, the guild is fine again. I suddenly recieved a massive influx of membership applications... so what I\'m going to do is dedicate a minimum of 10 hours a week, no matter what and try one last time to get things started back up.  8)  :]

That\'s good that it isnt the end after all. Once CB comes out I\'m sure that all the guild problems of inactiviy due to boredome and the fact that their is not much a guild can do right now will be gone and all guilds will prosper. Good luck with your guild.

You can\'t do that kind of thing to us friend. You gave me quite a scare. I also considered offering to take over the guild for a second. Then I read the rest of your message. Thank goodness that you are not to leave. We must re-kindle our alliance to where it was in its prime. Welcome back my friend.

It turns out that most of the apps we got were fake. It was either someone who wanted to be a total jerk, or someone who really didn\'t want to see the guild die... but we have yet to figure out who actually submitted the applications.

I don\'t think anyone who truly cared about the Forsaken Ones would do something of that sort, so I think it is more likely someone from the \"jerk\" category.   :rolleyes:

I am very sorry to hear that you have this disappointment, Devoted. :(  May the members you thought you had, be replaced by many more who you will truly have!  :)  

Although this was a despicable act of deception, I am glad that it caused you to reconsider your choice.  Planeshift needs more guilds that are as fine and honourable as the Forsaken Ones.   :)
