Aww yeah...I\'ve played. Used to play quite a bit...too many stupid rules for me, though...can\'t *possibly* block a ranged attack with a buckler? Can\'t *possibly* jump higher than your height, no matter how many ranks you have in jump...Way too turn-based...Still the best game ever made because of the complete freedom /= The thing that\'s great is, if you want to do something you logically could, do it...Kill a giant beetle? Want a tank? hmmm....you see where I\'m going...but anywho...go here for some typical d&d craziness I found on the web...sounds like my d&d sessions -_-

Comments:
A few months before this quote, Erich was so stunned by how stupid one of the PCs was being that he let his head fall to hit his PHB, not noticing the d20 that was right where his forhead landed. I outdid him. I did basically the same thing, except I did it with the d4. Very painful, but I didn\'t bleed and there\'s no scar. Yay!

Those friggin things hurt!

I still play AD&D.  I played all weekend actually.  I usually DM, mostly because I like it and because none of my friends want to.  All I have to say is 2nd ed. is way better than 3 or 3.5.

Ive played it once or twice but i prefered palladium and rifts (i think it was called rifts) which is practically the same thing as D&D. All round good fun though.

if you actually bothered to read the player manual :P you would see magic users cant cast spells whilst wearing armour

I think he plays 3rd ed, which would mean that, depending on the type of armor, wizards, sorcerers, and bards get a percentage chance of their spells failing, as long as the spell has somatic components...

I just found out wizards can\'t wear armor.  Okay, I didn\'t read about wizards in the rule book cuz my char is a fighter.
