MONSTER-Crack Dweller
« on: July 30, 2004, 12:42:55 am »

The Crack Dweller resides within the cracks and crevasses of rock and earth. Backing into such, the Upper parts of the body provide the appearance of no crack or crevasses at all. Though the legs as well mimic rock, they do tend to give them away to the trained eye. As to the reason of this purpose the Crack Dweller braces itself to hurl into it\'s victim. The attack is strickly to give it an advantage in the initial engagement but will stand it\'s ground to claim the meal to be had.

The creature is to heavy with the extra exo-skeleton to cast a home of web, rather it uses it to conceal it\'s meal for a later time. Though the web is slightly sticky upon the inital release from the gland, it turns to a stringy dry substance. Able to absorb odors make it ideal to target large creatures, least 10 times it\'s own weight, to be stored for long periods of time. To strong are the elder of the species as the young are sought for this stringy material as it serves to make clothing for partiular races. Though Favored mostly by the Enkidukai as it is strong, nearly equal to leather, yet lighter than paper, thus the Race do not over heat due to their furry coats. Including the stench of \"wet dog\" is absorbed making it a pleasurable experience for other races to deal with them...

No poisons is used by the Crack Dweller yet the masters of Thieves and Assassins seek the strongest of these creatures. For it is rumored among their profession of a Dirk which could be forged from the back bone of the rear segment. Though who would possess such knowledge to craft a deadly Dirk is yet to be revealed...

Alchemists as well as Mages make use of the exo-skeleton in the crafting of Stone Skin potions or magical enchantments of defense.

Level : Low to Very Strong
Strength : Low to Very Strong
Speed : Very Fast (forward and leap only) Very Slow upon turn and side-step
Defense : Moderate to Strong -note- the front legs are shielded and when placed together it shields its most vulnerable spot...it\'s head.

Items : Resource Material : Exo-Skeleton bits, Web, Web Gland and a unique and very rare among the ancient Crack Dwellers... Bone Shard of BackStab.

Nah, I don\'t wish it, it\'s just Fan Art stuff. The description just gives an explaination of the creatures purpose and such according to the image. Since their is limited information of npc\'s....have to improvise on the Fan Art part.

That is great art, both of your threads have awesome pics in them. Have you drawn any characters? (not monsters)

Your work is really nice, maybe we could use some of it some day :) Don\'t you want to give it a try to become a dev yourself?

Long ago I sent some work in to Blizzard, Sony, etc. Never heard anything from them. But that was many ages ago though, I just been doing retail management as of late. Though it does sound great to do such for a game company as I\'m an addict to online games. Guess I\'ll give it a go and see what happens.

ESB like I have said to Moogie, you need to start making some cash for your work or if your not into taking money for your talent, it needs to be exhibitioned in the gaming industry and any other place it can be...it is no doubt some of the greatest work I have seen!

Keep it up and hopefully you will join the DEVs helping making Planeshift a even more spectacular game.

Also I had to hit the backspace a few times myself when typing in Dweller as it ended up as Dealer. Also if ya say it fast enough over and over... it will end up Dealer >=)

Was going to send in for PS but it will have to wait since I don\'t have colored images. Gunna need to locate a Photoshop type program or a 3d program. Would love to see Class1-a crawling around >=)

Wow, all of your drawings impress me ESB. I think you should really try to get into the buisness :)) ::sigh::....I wish I could draw, but the best I can do is a disporportionate stick figure!!
