History
950 years ago, a township was victimized by fiends of the darkest kind. They burned cottages, ransacked houses, and stole hoards of food. 25 years later, the raids continued, with no way of the people knowing when they were coming.
Right after a raid in early winter, the fiends killed 47 people, and ate their winter hoard and burned the rest. The people banded together to form a society of fighters, to drive back their oppressors. Thus, resulting in the birth of the Knights Templar. A group dedicated to doing good and protecting people.
Training remotely underground, they amassed a force they were sure could fend off their enemy, it was time to make a stand.
The air was silent. A breeze came in every now and then. Most people were in their houses awaiting the next raid, and what would happen. The other people were dressed as the Knights Templar, they stood guard outside.
A beast appeared at the edge of the woods. An odd sort of creature, short, black with yellow eyes. It began to approach the town, and behind it came all of the towns attackers, fearsome beasts.
The defence was short, ending in defeat of the fiends. But the Knights Templar had only chopped off one of the beast\'s hand, figuratively speaking, and it could still bite.
So they ventured to where their enemies called home. That attack was also short, most of the Knights Templar died.
The wind was blowing, all was quiet, everything lay dead. Except for 3 people.
They were a Knights Templar Standard Bearer, and two of the Seneschals.
From there, they returned to the town as heroes, but refused to stay, but rather, travel the land granting save passage and helping the needy, freeing people of their oppressors.
We are the surviving Knights Templar.
Beliefs, Diplomacy
We fight for pilgrims, seeking enlightenment and change. We fight for our own interests- as long the good are not harmed. We are good guild, not neutral, nor evil.
We plan to team up with a political party and serve as an army of the people. This is hopefully to be the basis of our funding.
Our duty is to roam the land to seek people in need of help. And to root out all evil. May death come swiftly to our enemies, and all who oppose us!
EDIT: I have included revised changes to our history, seeing as there was some b*tching going on. Anyways long story short, our website has not been updated in a while, but will be shortly.
