900 years before this present day, a major, friendly held stronghold was the last foothold in a foreign land. The entire Knights Templar was stationed to protect that city, the city fell in a 3 day siege against 500,000 enemy soldiers and 500 machines of war. At this point, when the army was doomed to fail at this stronghold,
Although the Knights Templar and their allies fought valiantly, their allies were all either killed or captured, while the Knights Templar were driven back towards a portal that was 2000 feet under the city.The Knights Templar were forced through the portal, only the Knights Templar were near to it so only they could get through it before the enemy could close it. The Knights Templar escaped safelyand fond themselves in a strange land where they settled and began to teach the locals races the cult and code of honour of the knights Templar, although they are surviving in Yikalim they someday hope to return to their homelandwhich they remember as nothing but a distant memory.
We are the surviving Knights Templar, avoiding certain, and immediate eradication 900 years ago. We have grown, expanded and diversified since then.
