I already apply to the 2d department, how long does the department leader takes to reply?

From the news page:

So it may take a while.. or you may have to wait till after CB until they are ready for new members.

You may have more luck if you pop into the dev\'s IRC channel and ask nicely whether the 2D dept. leader is there, etc.
